I want to be seen. 

You don’t see me.

I want…. to really be seen….. for who I am. 

You don’t see me.

You..... just..... don’t...... want to see me.

You only want to see the version of me,

you created in your head.

It’s easy to want to put everyone in a box.  We believe our decision-making process is the same.  We believe our execution style is the same.  We compare how we show up in the world. 

I gain clarity through the process.  I gain clarity by showing up and being open to the experience. 

It’s beyond frustrating to know my process is going to most likely require a few more steps but I am learning to have grace with myself and with the process.

Emotional awareness. I am still in amazement, that there is a high percentage of men who are unaware how their projected emotions are actually perceived.

At midlife we reach an intersection where we decide if we want to continue on the same path or head off in a new direction. We play roles to fill a position but at what point do we stop playing the role and just be ourselves?

It’s hard to know what really matters when we’ve spent most of our lives saying yes to everything.

Saying yes to everything and everyone can lead to a place of overwhelm.

The antidote to saying yes to everything is to start saying no to everything.

Boundaries look different for everyone. When you are a constant giver there is a point where you have nothing left to give and you have to decide to put yourself first.

You’ve been told someone else is going to save you. 

There is no person who is going to save you. 

You have to decide to save yourself!

You have to do the thing!

You are the person you have been looking for!

Joy is a personal emotion. Find ways to connect with joy in your life. The more joy you have, the more joy you will feel. Connect to the feeling of joy in all you do.

I am thankful for my friends. Friends are our family by choice. They are the people we choose to surround ourselves with.
