Alison Walker (@_alisonwalker_) is a UK based Malaysian ultra runner who dived into the world of ultra marathons in 2018 with a 100 mile race in torrential conditions.

This week we’re joined by James Poole, an ultra runner and all round enthusiast of the outdoors. James has been involved in the running community over the years and now predominantly works in the industry.
James founded Advent Running, has an impressive marathon PB of 2:44 and has taken on challenges and races across the world including the Gobi Desert in China, Western States, UTMB and the Mallorca GR221 FKT for Strava.

In 2019 she set off with two friends to do something that had never been done before; run from the border of Afghanistan to the border of China through Tajikistan’s Bartang Valley.
When not taking on crazy challenges, Jodie gets her kicks from running long distances on the trails. She’s placed on the podium at numerous events including the Exmoor 50k and Maverick Ultra Peak District.

This week on Trail Run's Trail Tales we're joined by Katie Kaars Sijpesteijn. Katie is a Salomon sponsored ultra trail and mountain runner who has competed at some of the toughest sky races and represented her country at the IAU World Trail Championships.
Although based in Leeds, Katie's probably more at home in the Lake District having set record times at the Lakeland 50 and Lakes in a Day.

This week Tom Wake will be joined by Howard Dracup. Howard is a trail, fell and ultra runner who can mostly be found running over the Lakeland peaks. In 2019 he won the Brecons Way Ultra, 100 miles across the Brecon Beacons and took 3rd place at the Spine Challenger. This year he went on to set a new record on the Steve Parr round - 62 fells, 42,000 ft of ascent and over 100 miles.

When not working as a Landscape Designer & Gardener, Charlie is an impressive trail and ultra runner who in 2019 became the British 100km champion. His other achievements include winning the UK Trail Running Championships, finishing 3rd Brit at the CCC and taking the win at the South Downs Way 100.

She also enjoys running crazy distances for fun.
