Keys to be Successful in Using your Wavelength

• People generally cannot change their thinking wavelength, regardless of the amount or type of training received. 
• You will tend to work best with people who are 1.5 points on either side of you. 
• You are able to operate 1 - 1.5 points from your equilibrium number
• Working beyond 1.5 – 2 points from your number will create friction, frustration, depression, and burnout. 
• ​​Concrete Thinkers pop the bubble of abstract thinkers by focusing on why or the potential problems. 

Transformation Application: How satisfied are you with your work?  On a scale of low-med-high.  If you’re low to medium, could it be because you’re misaligned with your thinking wavelength score?  Do some reflection.

Potential blindspots:

• Others may view you as shallow and insincere because you connect with people quickly and then move on. 
• You may have a tendency to reveal yourself and trust others too quickly. This may cause more reserved people to step back from a relationship.
• Because you operate easily in social settings, you may not understand why more people can’t do it as well. 

Transformation Application: Thank a WOO person for introducing you to someone.  Let them know how it went. Also, If you need some strategic contacts to help move something forward, find a WOO person.

Potential blindspots:

• Because you are naturally verbal and instinctively share your thoughts, you may not realize when you are monopolizing a discussion. 
• Remember that your words are not always enough to motivate others. 
• Be careful to not judge bad or even mediocre presentations

Transformation Application: If you’re going to give a presentation, your natural tendency will be to shoot from the hip, because you’re gifted.  But, practice and prepare, and it will be that much more effective.

If you’re not a communicator but need to present, go talk to a communicator they’ll help you get it nice.
