George's shoulder continues to heal, but now it's Child#2's turn for surgery on a major joint. Even though he recently moved out, we are still his parents and still care and help as we're able.

When westerners call the generational status of caring for children and elders simultaneously "Sandwich Generation", Jess thinks that makes it sound like flavorful fillings in an easily handled form, but we have found it to be far from tasty.
