Welcome to our Season 9 finale! Alicia has the very trashy tale of what happened after Stella got her groove back! Author Terry McMillan broke all the rules by marrying a much younger man, and when he later came out as gay, her anger was almost all-consuming. Stacie has a couple who really underperformed in the trash department, but the sweet aftermath of the divorce of actress Anna Faris and Guardian of the Galaxy Chris Pratt seemed like a nice note to end the season on.

When it comes to women who roar, we’ve got two fabulous ones. Stacie has the short story of the marriage of pop queen Katy Perry and British narcissist Russell Brand, who notified her of the divorce by text message. Alicia takes us to 1970s and early 1980s Palm Beach for the wild ride of rich guy Peter Pulitzer and his second marriage and divorce, to the loud and proud Roxanne Pulitzer.

This week, we’re pulling a few recent favorites from the Patreon vault! Stacie has some wild tales from the career of America’s first Lady Pinkerton, Kate Warne, who pioneered the field for women in the 19th century. Then, Alicia has the very trashy gilded age life of Consuelo Vanderbilt, whose marriage of convenience to the Duke of Marlborough ended up being anything but.

This week, we’re focusing on two women who made some interesting choices in their youth. Alicia has Cybill Shepherd, whose early affair with director Peter Bogdanovich nearly ended her show business career. Stacie has the bad marriage of singer-actor Mandy Moore and the scandal-plagued rocker Ryan Adams.

This week we’re taking a look at a couple of American princesses, er, heiresses. First, Stacie has the bizarre story of Patty Hearst, granddaughter of William Randolph, whose abduction by the Symbionese Liberation Army in 1974 led to a crime spree that stunned the world. Then, Alicia has the scandalous life and loves of Lee Radziwill, the sister of Jackie O, who struggled in the shadow of her sister.

It’s been a cold week, friends, so we thought we’d take the show someplace warm and take a look at two of the 20th century’s most notable yacht owners: it’s Greek shipping magnate week on TD! Alicia has the trashy life of Aristotle Onassis, while Stacie has the trashy tale of his archrival Stavros Niarchos. These two cut a path of destruction through the lives of the people who loved them, often with tragic results.

Happy Valentine’s Day! We both realized we’d already released some stories that hit the Valentine’s Day sweet spot for us over on Patreon! Stacie has the creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky story of cartoonist Charles Addams, whose decades of darkly screwball New Yorker cartoons became The Addams Family. Then, Alicia has perhaps the perfect distillation of Truman Capote’s Swans, the actress and author Carol Saroyan Matthau, who may be the most direct inspiration for Capote’s Holly Golightly character in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

This week, Alicia gets her dander up with the marriage and divorce of burlesque star Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson, including a discussion of the disturbing allegations that have been made against him in recent days. Then, Stacie spills the tea about the two families that lawyer Johnnie Cochran juggled for more than a decade.
