Treasured Truth

Pastor Ford will remind us today that our condition is not our conclusion. Because our problems are not a problems, they’re platforms. Because our misery is not misery, it’s ministry. Because our trials are for the purpose of helping us learn to trust God more.

When we’re following God’s direction, sometimes things just don’t make sense. It seems to us and to others around us that we are moving in the wrong direction. But what we must realize is that heavenly solutions, hardly ever make earthly sense.

Often we are just standing still and waiting for God to do something for us. But God's in heaven and He’s saying, “I will open the door, as soon as you move toward the door.” Pastor Ford will begin to explain today about how God's waiting for us to bust a move.

We are eternally secure after we’re adopted into God’s family because of the purposes of God. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good…” Does that really mean all things? When we fail, when we fall, when we have foibles? Yes—all things!

Being part of a Bible believing church is one thing…but are you part of a Bible behaving church? Pastor James Ford, Jr. reminds us just how important it is to be living out what you believe about the Bible, not only in your church, but in all areas of your life.

According to scripture, believers in Christ have been with all spiritual blessings, in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Which means then, if we want our blessing, we can’t get those apart from being in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. But there are so many people who want the blessings, but they don’t want Jesus.”

In John 6, scripture says that before we come to know Christ as savior, our father is the Devil. But after we come into a saving relationship with Christ, we can then cry, ‘Abba Father!’ That’s because God the Father is now our daddy. He has adopted us into His family.

When we’re adopted into the family of God, what do we gain? Ephesians 1:3 says, “…we are blessed with all spiritual blessings, in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus.” To learn more about what it means to have spiritual blessings in Christ, join us for today’s Treasured Truth.

No matter what we go through, no matter what our losses may be, no matter how much we’re ridiculed by the world—we are accepted as part of the God’s beloved. He sees us as His children.

As we begin to consider what it means to be adopted into God’s family, Pastor Ford will remind us of this truth—as believers, God the Father chose each of us and accepted us into His family because of the sacrifice that Christ made on our behalf.
