Treasured Truth

In his strategy against us, one of Satan’s favorite tactics is to attack God’s Word. He wants us to doubt God’s word, so he can undermine the credibility of God in our lives. But on the next Treasured Truth, Pastor Ford reminds us that his efforts are futile and that the Word of God will remain true forever.

As we continue to consider the profound nature of the incarnation of Christ, we see that there’s no way we could have done for ourselves what He did for us. We couldn’t save ourselves and so God set it up with the purpose of saving us in mind. Do you realize that if you were the only person in this world, God would have still sent Jesus to die for you? Isn’t that amazing to consider?

Since the beginning of time, God has had a plan for our salvation. And when we look at the timeline related to the incarnation of Christ, everything that God said would happen did happen. And so that means we can trust that everything God wants for each of our lives, will happen too.

We need to realize that we what we each go through to grow, may not even cause someone else to grow. Because we have designer trials; they are specifically fixed by God to fit each of us. They are designed to get out of us or put into us exactly what God knows we need to have in us.

We are the product of the things that we have come through in our relationship with God. And Pastor Ford will explain that it’s not the blessings that have created the growth in our lives. It’s been the valleys. It was the tragedies. And it was the adverse tests that have shaped us into who we are today.

When the Holy Spirit moves into our lives, He doesn’t just do a makeover—He totally remakes the people we are. Pastor Ford explains today that the Holy Spirit implodes our character and tears out the things that are not lovely, so He can build us up in the newness of who Christ is.

Many of us may find ourselves right now in a holding pattern, waiting on God to come through for us. Pastor Ford will remind us today that it doesn’t matter how long we’ve been waiting. It doesn’t matter how bad we feel. It doesn’t matter how adverse the circumstances are. God tells us, “I am going to come through for you. Just wait.”
