Treasured Truth

Satan’s aim is to bring compromise into our lives. He wants to compromise the lordship of Christ, our fellowship with Christ, and our worship of Christ. On today’s Treasured Truth, Pastor Ford encourages us with ways to overcome the temptation to compromise.

Pastor Ford reminds us today that we shouldn’t focus on the circumstances around us. Instead, as believers, we need to focus on the fact that God gave us a promise—if we humble ourselves and trust Him, He will lead us. Trust in the Lord, with all your heart, and He will direct your paths.

Today, Pastor Ford will encourage us to consider why God is allowing trials to happen in our lives. They are not stumbling blocks, but rather they are stepping stones that lead to God’s higher purpose for you. It’s another great reminder for us all, on the next Treasured Truth.

Stability, tranquility, and prosperity are all common elements that we expect to be present in what the world defines as a successful life. But today, Pastor Ford shares that adversity is also something to expect when we are experiencing success God’s way.

Sometimes God allows trials, trauma and trouble to enter our lives. But when He does, He is not trying to destroy us. He is trying to develop us. And He wants us to understand that He is sovereign over the problems that we face in life.

The success in life that we need and feel compelled to strive for is found when we prioritize the things of God. Pastor Ford reminds us that as believers, we will not experience success without Jesus being at the center of our lives.

Pastor Ford shares that when he considers all that Christ has done for us, it compels him to deal with the sin in his life. He asks himself, “Are you going to deal with this and surrender to the Lordship of Christ?” Today on Treasured Truth, he encourages us to ask ourselves the same question.

God uses the storms in our lives. They are designed to loosen the things that are tightly holding us back and keeping us from meeting our destiny and fulfilling the purpose that He has for us.

Today, Pastor Ford will remind us that God has a distinct purpose for each of our lives. He encourages us to quit wasting our lives on people who don’t promote the purpose that God has intended for us.

We all want to experience the blessings of God. We want God to open doors for us. But Pastor Ford asks the question—why do we want God to open doors for us, when we keep our hearts closed to Him?
