Sanaatan Dharma: The One True Religion
Sanaatan dharma embraces all of manifested existence. It is not a teaching by any one master, but expresses the essence of age-old, revealed wisdom.
The world is on the eve of a radical change in religion.
Don’t just react to this world, be a cause rather than effect.
We can never know truth with the mind – we must experience it in our lives and in our hearts.

Following Your Highest Dharma – duty which leads you to a realization of your highest self.
Dharma means being guided by what is right, not necessarily by what you want.
Dharma must be understood at the outset to be not a burden, but an opportunity.
Only, when we pull back from our desires, and make choices by what is right, do we find what we truly want – inner peace and joy.

Divine Will, Karma and Miracles states that Yogananda would not take take any credit for performing miracles.
He would say it was God’s grace alone that healed. Yogananda recognized by direct experience where the grace comes from. It is because he was fully-liberated.
The poem Samadhi further explains the recognition of the source of all power: “I the cosmic sea, watch the little ego floating in me.”

Choose to be a cause, not an effect and don’t let the seeming realities take precedence in your life. Refer back to your priority, to be closer to God.
This talk deals with a key subject for all of us, the importance of turning inward for guidance and becoming independent of others’ opinions. The more we do this, the more we will find true freedom in God.
Underlying all the changes of this world, God is the only reality.
Ask yourself, ‘who loves me?’ It is always God who loves you though others.

Book of Bhrigu Astrology – predictive astrology from ancient India.
Swami Kriyananda got a reading from the Book of Bhrigu in India and found amazing details to be accurate about his life. It’s hard to believe that a book written centuries ago could predict the life of someone in a later age.
This book predicted the great spiritual work that Kriyananda was to carry on in his lifetime.

In the first talk for May, Sunday Service 5/20/79, Kriyananda remarks “I was very touched yesterday by all your loving gifts and warm wishes and so on (on his birthday the previous day), but I think what made that day sweet, was the understanding that what we are really loving is God. We’re not just singling out one person. What we love here at Ananda is truth, what we love is principle.” He said that Yogananda de-emphasized his personality and emphasized the truth that he represented. He also talks about how temporal the world is and the happiness, truth and joy we seek is only found within. He also spoke about God remembrance in everyday life.
The second talk this month was for the National Health Federation conference January 22, 1983 – techniques for health and happiness.
Sometimes the state achieved in yoga relaxation can be thought of as ‘limpness,’ but it is a dynamic kind of relaxation. Yoga relaxation creates an ‘openness’ so you can rid the body and mind of tensions and obstacles.
Note: Treasures offered another talk also called “Health & Happiness” in September 2011 given on April 1, 1982. These two talks are different.
