Two classic meditations on death. One's an arthouse movie and one's a popcorn movie. But which one is the better movie? Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal (1957) or Weekend at Bernie's (1989)? On the first episode of Weekend at Bergman's, Brett Boham and Joe Cilio take a honest look at the high culture/low culture divide in cinema and explore the question... what makes a movie good? They also choose a winner between The Seventh Seal and Weekend at Bernie's. The winner goes in the canon and the loser goes in the trash canon and they're never allowed to watch it again for the rest of their lives.
