If you're a fan of the movie "Clerks" and the Kevin Smith Experience (sounds like a cool band name...dibs!) this is my 15-minute special episode on a love we share. If you're not...you should be, IT'S GREAT! And in this pod, I share my thoughts on why.
The first truly independent film I ever saw, "Clerks" inspired me to be a creator on my own terms. Thank you, Kevin Smith and all the wonderful people who helped you realize your dream of making a movie. You inspired me at a time when I truly need it.
We've all seen his portrait...hopefully. But who IS that dude on the money? Why is he there? What else did he do?
On this episode of TTO, I try my hand at teaching a little history...in about 13 minutes. How did I do? You decide.
A brief discussion on the conservation of matter? It may sound boring, but it's not.
Is it the sexiest discussion ever? I can't say...people are into all kinds of strange things. No judgement here!
Enjoy.
This Week's review features the saltiest language I've used on the pod (don't worry, I got the bleeper workin great), because sometimes I just get a little upset and express myself in a juvenile way.
Enjoy the week's biggest stories and a little holiday advice for dealing with the difficulties of the season. We're all in this together! Love you guys!
Friday Friday, ya gotta get down on Friday. It's another Friday Funday episode. This time I share my history (and present) with holiday decorations.
We all have thoughts on them, love or hate, and I have both! Enjoy a silly little moment of me trying to explain holiday decorations to a 4-year old.
I always have difficulty processing holidays based on remembrance. Thanksgiving is no different. I have a few thoughts, both painful and hopefully uplifting which I try to share in this mini episode.

Be kind, lift someone up, be thankful, be thoughtful. My love to you all.

The biggest TTO episode to date is a thought-provoking discussion with cryptocurrency enthusiast and history teacher Gabe Mason. Join our fast-paced jaunt through bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. exchanges, and the unscrupulous humans that jeopardize it all.
Can Bitcoin save the world? What IS currency anyway? How the gold standard works, and the highly questionable use of it by the US government for a few decades...it's mind-blowing!
Also, I randomly blast libertarianism at one point and make several jokes about a movie from 1999. What's not to love?!?! Enjoy my chat with the super-smart Gabe Mason and share it with a friend.
Note: Gabe identifies the executive order FDR signed to buy back citizen's gold as EO 6103, it was actually EO 6102...But I was super impressed he was so close off the top of his head. (I looked it up during editing.)
I witnessed something while dropping my daughter off at school that moved me deeply. How important are the little kindnesses we witness in everyday life? Have we lost sight of the little things which make people inherently good?
It's the small things. The tiny kindnesses which can have so much meaning if we allow them to do so.
We all have a preference. We all know somebody that prefers "the other one."
Warm blooded people who seem to always be hot...cold blooded people who seem to always need a blanket...sometimes it takes two to make a thing go ri-ight. (Shout out Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock)
What a thoroughly random set of thoughts to have on a foggy Wednesday morning.
This one was a tough edit. After a spectacularly ugly 26-minute recording session followed by a 2-hour editing session, I was able to rescue 13 minutes of good stuff! Celebrating the little victories is important.
The week's biggest stories in 5 minutes (it was more, but don't expect a refund...not that I charge anything for this anyway) plus a few minutes about priorities that are bound to leave some pumping their fists in the air, and others steaming mad.
What can I say? I've got priorities.
