A trial date has been set for the South African mother of three charged with killing her three daughters.

40 year old Lauren Dickason, who is a medical practitioner, was excused from appearing in the High Court in Christchurch via video link for her second hearing.

She's accused of murdering her daughters, two year old twins and their 6 year old sister.

RNZ reporter, Conan Young, was in court and spoke to Midday Report's Māni Dunlop.
