This week, Jordyn shares about a truly terrible haircut (that she got just hours before recording), Pearl and Jordyn celebrate artists (hair stylists and tattoo artists), Pearl shares a harrowing story of a dental appointment gone wrong, and they wrap it up by a doozy of a "What Are You A Slut For?" session (hint: we stan Applebees).
If you're in Portland, Oregon, please give Lilly's Beauty Salon some love. Even if you're not in the area, leave her a 5 star review because she is phenomenal.

Join Jordyn and Pearl at the first of many astrology-based convos!
Our hosts jump into exploring their own star signs and what astrology means to them both now vs when they first learned of astrology. Jordyn gives us some insight into what astrology can mean for us, which leads into a conversation about where mental health care and western standards of care intermingle. Our hosts then ask and answer the questions: What do you want to get out of astrology? What does it mean to you if anything? This conversation included questions, musing, and opinions galore- they're shooting for the stars with this one- hope you brought your astronaut food!

Join Jordyn and Pearl as they share their take on colors!
The episode begins with the two hosts catching up and sharing personal celebrations. They then speak about some personal emotional flashbacks to share a bit of backstory as to why this episode has come into existence. We get some insight into the clothing and color choices of Pearl's past in terms of how she wanted to be perceived by others, and how she made herself palatable to others through clothing. The two then dive deeper into discussing what colors represent for them individually vs. how others view them in the past and now. Society may tell you something different, but here at Tricky Existence, the message is- Clothes should be in service to you- what do we do to make that happen?

Pearl and Jordyn are back this week to give their take on flirting! They open up the episode with the question- what is flirting? The two discuss its purpose in their own lives as well as what flirting can look like as a social tool. How and where does the line between manipulation and flirting exist if it does at all? Can flirting be used as a coping skill or safety mechanism? Our hosts discuss these questions and more in this week's episode, and ruminate on the power and control that flirting can give over the perceptions others have of us. Listen in and listen up- we're everyday flirts.

Pearl and Jordyn are back this week to give their take on success. They open up the episode with a long intro into the unpleasant moods they have been experiencing. This relates to the episode's topic because you can often find that your mood impacts the very things that you use to define success. And that is the insight you will gain today. Pearl and Jordyn take about what characteristics they label as successful and what aspects of success they find identity in. They talk about their journey of redefining success and how that impacts their career and life goals. They pick apart the connect between being busy and considering yourself successful as well as the association between productivity and success. This leads into a conversation around what money symbolizing is a capitalistic society and how the need for comfort masks itself as chasing success.
