Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Psalm 25:9 which says "He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way."

"Doing life God’s way isn’t hard. But it requires you to say no to your flesh every single day. I read the verse above and I wanted to go back through scripture to really see what it says about His way.

 

1 John 2:6 says the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

 

So we are to abide in him, and walk like him.

 

Psalm 18:30 says As for God, His way is blameless;

The word of the Lord is tried;

He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

 

I really love that it says the word of the Lord is tried. Meaning this way of life, being humble, walking with the Lord, saying no to temptations, serving those around us, it’s a tried and tested way of living. It gives us strength when our world crumbles, it gives us clarity when we need it. It allows the bigger voice in our life to be His.

 

As you go about your day today, look for the areas in your life that are not aligned with how God wants you to live and ask yourself why. Is it a need for control, or simply something you do not want to give up. Like we started todays, Devo, He wants to teach you His way, what is He trying to teach you today?"
