In this episode, I’m opening up about one of the most confusing and transformative times in a girl’s life: puberty. I share my personal experience going through puberty earlier than many of my peers, from getting my first training bra to navigating body changes, new hygiene routines, and getting my period at a young age. I talk honestly about how awkward and isolating those moments can feel when your body starts changing before everyone else’s.
Along the way, I break down the science behind puberty and explain what’s actually happening inside our bodies when hormones like estrogen and progesterone begin to rise. I walk through the common signs of puberty, why things like body odor and mood swings start happening, and how to manage these changes with practical self-care habits.
We also dive into the emotional side of growing up — why puberty can make you feel overwhelmed, sensitive, or even a little “crazy” sometimes, and why those feelings are completely normal. I even explore the idea of “second puberty,” the hormonal and body shifts many women notice in early adulthood as they transition from teenage years into their adult bodies.
This episode is a big sister guide to understanding your body, embracing the changes that come with growing up, and remembering that everyone develops at their own pace.
