Pastor Jack encourages us to sound like Jesus

We send our condolences to those who have encountered severe pain using the phrase "Thoughts and Prayers to..." But, this saying has lost its good natured value because of the lack of action that has been taken to remediate the situation. As Christians, our faith means absolutely nothing if we do not act upon it. Will we continue to send only our thoughts and prayers, or will we act upon our word?

Pastor Jack encourages us to "Want New Clothes"

Just as the Israelites in their entrance to the promised land, we are about to enter a new change in our community and lives. As we move onward from Wesley Hall, we do as God told the Israelites by building a stone formation reminiscent upon special times, spiritual shifts, and God's faithfulness. Let us use this marker as our guidance forward, from the old school to the new school, for the Kingdom of God.

As Christians, we have a responsibility to defend those who are vulnerable and hurting from the cruelness of this world. The work of Christ is shown to be living out of peace with all. We must not hesitate to stand up as one to rid evil of its circulation in the world around us.

Jeremiah's famous quote of scripture doesn't mean what we think it does...We have to endure pain and frustration through times of change to grow in God's plan for us. We might think that these times of change aren't the best, but we should still build, plant, and grow as the seasons will unquestionably change again.

When things change as we grow, we are forced to ask ourselves the big questions. New transitions are scary and frustrating, sometimes causing us to dwell on our "glory days" or better times. As we enter the start of the season of being thrown into the fire, God reminds us to call unto him during the changing of the seasons and we will find him and his peace among all of the chaos.

Have you ever wondered into a room and wondered where you were going to sit, and who with? God's forgiveness expands his table, making a place for each and every one of us despite our debts, faults, and shortcomings. Who are we restricting from having a seat at ours?
