Water can often be seen as an uncontrollable thing. When God parted the Red Sea, this uncontrollable entity split and became tame as those who were of God had safe passage to the other side. But, when they reached the other side, they complained and forgot about what God did for them. We often forget who God is, what wonders he has done for us, and how he strives to show us just how loved we are. How do we go about remembering what God did for us through our baptism?

We often run from things that are frightening or uncomfortable. The plan that we have laid out in our mind for ourselves might not align with what God's has in store for us. What is God calling you to do in your life?

Why are deep waters so frightening to us? Was it the flood that we saw Noah endure? Is it the unknown that lies beneath? How can water be so beneficial to so many aspects of our lives while also being so destructive in its nature? Peter calls for us to cling to our faith while suffering because God shows us redemptive power within that suffering. Will you be able to float in these deep waters?
