No matter what season of life you're in right now, this episode will benefit you to tune into!
In today's episode friends, we're having an honest conversation about how to honour ourselves and those we love, no matter what kind of season we've all entered 2025 in. Tune in for a great chat, important reminders, and tips on how to balance your season and the season loved ones are in.

Welcome back to the podcast, friends!
If you're new here, I'm so glad you found my show and we're now connected!
I apologize for not releasing a podcast episode last week, technical issues with Sound Trap occurred unexpectedly for me. I thank you though, for your patience with me. I never take your patience, kindness, or support for granted.
With that being said, we're already at Christmas Eve somehow! I'm feeling a tug to have an honest conversation about boundaries, especially during the holidays, so that's what we're doing friends!
In today's episode I share the importance of having boundaries and protecting yourself, some of my own beliefs surrounding boundaries, and share three tips for those looking to set (or strengthen) them.
I also share a message for anyone really struggling right now. I have lost people around this time of year (including just days ago, we lost my last living aunt on my mom's side on the 19th). If you need extra love and support at this time of year, I hope I'm one person you can get some from.
If this topic resonates with you, please feel free to DM me on Instagram (@thisiskaitey is my handle) so we can connect more! I did not release an episode last week, and I want to apologize for that. It was not my intention to miss recording and sharing an episode for you, my friends. However, I experienced a days long (nearly a full week) panic attack, and in the days leading up to my 33rd birthday, I was barely functioning.
Something happened at work that led to consequences I don't feel are fair, I'm dealing with health issues of my own, and there is heavy stuff going on with my family behind the scenes. My nervous system is in survival mode, and my body throwing me into a panic attack recently made realize I'm stuck in a fight or flight response.
In today's episode friends, I get vulnerable and talk about the panic attack I recently experienced. I also share some of the things that eventually helped me pull myself out of it.
I want to remind you all of two important things. Sometimes our triggers + reactions to them can't be explained. Does that feel great when it happens? No, but this is part of our human experience. Also, one bad moment does absolutely NOT make you a bad/horrible/crappy human being.

With last week being the official release of my first prompt journal, I felt it was the right time for us to have a conversation about the importance of doing the work daily to combat our mental health and negative thought patterns. There are so many things that can make loving, taking care of, honouring ourselves feel impossible. Things such as changes with our body/health, tragedy striking, serious health issues, mental health struggles, are just a few examples.
No matter what you're going through or experiencing in life, it's important to do what you feel capable of each day to take care of your mental health and mindset because as much as brains can be brilliant, our own brains can be our biggest bully sometimes. I hope you enjoy today's honest conversation about how important and worthy the daily work to combat and protect your mental health is, friends!

My original plan for this weeks episode was to go off our conversation last week about generational trauma and barrier breaking to dive (in the ways I can) into my personal experience with that, and share ways I'm working to break barriers for myself.
That episode is going to be released next week, November 12th at 9:00 am EST, as I have something exciting to share with you all today, friends.

Through my teens I felt incredibly alone, hopeless, and didn't have any tools to help myself escape the darkness that was severe…
