Dr. Mayer continues his exploration into the epidemic of immaturity that blankets our young people today. In this broadcast he discusses individual cases of teens who are immature and how they can be misunderstood as more serious mental health, behavioral or educational problems rather than immature. Dr. Mayer cites a recent article in the journal, American Psychologist that supports Mayer’s assertion that immaturity explains the concerns we have with teenagers more than certain age old notions of the adolescent experience.
