He was known as “The Butcher of Plainfield” and “The Plainfield Ghoul”, and has been called a serial killer by many, even though he was only confirmed to murder 2 people. But his crimes were so gruesome, that he would end up being the notorious inspiration for 3 of the creepiest horror movies/characters of all time: Psycho (Norman Bates), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Leatherface), and Silence Of The Lambs (Buffalo Bill). That’s right, today's story is about the ultimate mama's boy - Ed Gein.

It’s time for another cult y’all… Love Has Won is described as a "newer religious movement" that was led by Amy Carlson, who was better known as “Mother God" by her followers. On the outside, they seem like a bunch of hippie Christians. But on the inside, it was filled with brainwashing, abuse, sleep deprivation, and even death. So while this group may still be going strong(ish) under a new name, the original leader has since deceased... But just wait until you hear how the police found her body!

Today's episode is about a case of parricide (the killing of a parent), because today's story is about a father who was murdered by his own two sons. While that is definitely brutal, the story is not quite that cut and dry... Their lives were filled with poverty, foster care, grooming and abuse. So on the "nurture" side of things, all of that can really make you look just a little closer at why kids commit these types of crimes. This the murder of Terry King by his sons, Alex and Derek King.

A young and beautiful indigenous woman in North Dakota was expecting her first baby when her life was tragically taken from her in 2017. While this story in itself is heartbreaking, what's even worse is the unfairly long list she was added to of girls and women who go missing or murdered in America every day, and most without any answers. Amber is on vacay for today's episode, so Brittany and her hubby tell the story of Savanna Greywind.

Today’s story is absolutely devastating and heartbreaking, to say the least, but it has so many twists and turns that I’m surprised Jerry Springer didn’t get involved. In 2009, Joshua Powell’s wife, Susan Cox Powell, went missing, and less than 3 years later, he would end up murdering their 2 young children, Braden and Charlie Powell, followed by his own suicide. While lots of horrific details surrounding the Powell family have since come to light, Susan’s body has still never been found.

If you love murder with a side of dad jokes, then you're in for a real treat with today's story... It's a lesser known case, which is weird considering he was the first person to make the 11th spot on the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted list. He was a violent serial killer who terrorized Oregon for 14 years, all because he couldn't grasp the basic concept of consent (No means no, not murder). This is the story of Richard "Dick" Marquette.

If you’re a heavy metal fan, then you know today’s story all too well... On December 8th, 2004, guitarist Darrell Abbott, or better known as “Dimebag Darrell”, and three other people were shot and killed by a crazed fan during a concert at a nightclub in Columbus, Ohio. As a heavy metal fan myself, I know the story, but since I am also a true crime fan, I wanted to take a deep dive into who the gunman was, and why on earth he felt the need to do what he did.
