Francis Rattenbury is easily one of British Columbia’s most famous architects but his story has a tragic ending. 

Francis arrived in Canada to much fanfare but left under a cloud of scandal. Years later he was murdered as she sat in his favourite drinking chair. 

Many people believe that his Ghost became restless and returned to the buildings he designed. 

So if you find yourself in Victoria British Columbia pay close attention to the BC Parliament building, you may see a thin man with a mustache in a black cloak and cane out for a spooky night stroll.

On July 7th, 2017 75-year-old Ronald Worsfold was murdered in his own home.

The person found responsible for Ronald’s death was 33-year-old Beryl Musila. Beryl told many different stories during the investigation and she also caused multiple delays in the court case due to repeatedly firing her legal representatives.

Ronald is remembered by his family, friends, and community as a giving, kind, and selfless man.

In this episode, we delve into the perplexing disappearance of Lawrence Maitland from the heart of Lax Kw'alaams, a remote village in British Columbia. It has now been over four years since Lawrence mysteriously vanished, leaving his family and the police with more questions than answers.

Lawrence was last spotted in mid-July of 2019, pushing his bicycle along Victoria Street. What makes his case even more baffling is the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. His keys and wallet were found untouched in his home, doors unlocked and lights still on.

From the very beginning, law enforcement suspected foul play, and the North District Major Crime Unit was brought in to assist the Prince Rupert RCMP. Yet, despite their relentless efforts, Lawrence Maitland remains missing, leaving his family in a painful limbo of uncertainty.

In this episode, we hear from Lawrence's family members, who passionately plead for anyone with information to come forward. They firmly believe that someone out there holds the key to solving this mystery and bringing their loved one home.

Lawrence Maitland is described as a 44-year-old Indigenous man, standing at 5'9" and weighing 187 lbs. He has distinctive features, including slicked-back black hair and a black goatee.

On January 7th, 2015, a tragic event unfolded in Wyses Corner, Nova Scotia, leaving an indelible mark on a local family. The lives of Bill, Ida, and Ann Ward were tragically cut short when they were discovered deceased in their Wyses Corner residence following a house fire. However, the fire itself was not the cause of their untimely deaths. The unfortunate incident was linked to 30-year-old Codey Hennigar, who happened to be Ann's son and the grandson of Bill and Ida. Codey had been grappling with untreated schizophrenia while residing on the Wyses Corner property, leading to this heartbreaking outcome. This case prompts us to confront a challenging question: Is there ever a justifiable circumstance in which we should administer medication to an adult against their will?

On April 24th, 1980 three year old Jeffrey Dupres was playing with his friend who lived next door. Minutes later, as Jeffrey's mother Denise was inside their home doing household chores there was a knock at the front door. Standing on the stoop was Jeffrey's friend who asked "Where is Jeffrey?". 43 years later, there is still no answer to that question. April Parisian went missing in early April of 2020, she has not been seen or heard from since. April Lee-Ann Parisian is described by police as an Indigenous female in her mid-40s with blonde hair and blue eyes, 170 centimetres (5 feet 7 inches) tall, weighing 127 kilograms (280 pounds.). Her family last heard from her on April 5, 2020. On the 26th of April 2013, Jon Riley, a 46-year-old life-long Torontonian, left a note for his mother, indicating he was going to Toronto for a brief visit.

During that time, Jon was staying with his mother in Meaford, Ontario.

Since then, Jon's whereabouts have remained unknown, and there has been no contact from him.

In this episode, we have a conversation with Jon's sister, Judi, who has dedicated her life to advocating for missing persons.

Jon's story is a poignant tale of both trauma and resilience. We urge you to join us in the effort to find him.

At the time of his disappearance, Jonathan Riley is described as a white male, five feet nine inches (175 centimetres) tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds, with short brown/grey hair and brown eyes.

On the morning of November 1, 2007, the lifeless body of Charlene Ward, aged 46, was discovered in the residence she shared with her daughter. There had been a party there the night before, that went on until the early hours of the morning. A shocking arrest was made 10 years after her body was found, but still to this day, no charges have been laid and this homicide remains unresolved.
