It's okay to not be okay sometimes, just don't be not okay alone! Know that I am praying for everyone who feels like the walls are caving in on you. Trust me, it's just an illusion, your victory was already secured. Praying that this week's episode encourages you while at the same time pushes you to be more willing and readily available to also extend a smile, a hug, a Word from the Lord or just an ear for someone who may need it. You never know what people are going through, so let's walk in the light this week and every week thereafter. If you are the one who's in need of a hug or smile or a Word from the Lord, reach out! You are not alone, there are people who have been charged with holding your hands up like Aaron and Hur did with Moses to ensure victory (Exodus 17: 8-16). There is life after this I promise. NO storm lasts forever, just take it one prayer, one step and one day at a time. Morning will soon come. Here are some encouraging Scriptures for you to meditate on this week: Isaiah 40:31, Isaiah 43:18-19; Joshua 1:9; Proverbs 18:10, Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalm 23 all! Be encouraged, know that I'm praying for you. Don't forget you can leave your prayer requests at tamiamorrow.com and I will partner in prayer with you and for you!
This has been a busy week for me and I had some technical difficulties that prevented me from dropping the episode on time, but here I am a few days late but still right on time. This Word caught me off guard because it was not planned, but I felt so led by His Spirit that I am confident that you will hear something that will arrest you and point you right back to Him. This week's episode encouraged me and lit a fresh fire under me to continue pressing forward to exhaust everything God has placed on the inside of me and I hope even more for you. The satisfaction and refreshing that I felt during this episode reminded me of the times I order coffee after dinner to drink alongside my dessert. Even if I'm a little full I will always find some room for that dessert, and when I'm in the mood, that cup of coffee with a touch of cream with my sweet treat just hits the spot for me in ways I can't understand. Some of you are full from this week with worry, anxiety, depression, pressures and everything else under the sun, but I encourage you to have this cup of coffee and cream courtesy of God Himself. Even if you're full partake anyway so that you can experience the refreshing of God. My prayer is that you will have an encounter with the Holy Spirit in such a way that the anointing will destroy every yolk of bondage that is holding you hostage from realizing your potential for His glory, the expansion of His Kingdom and ultimately for your good! May you be refreshed in His presence and reminded that He is with you and for you and there's nothing you can do about it!
Be anxious for nothing! Be anxious for nothing! Be anxious for nothing! Be anxious for nothing! Trust His process, His plan and His timing. You can trust Him because He is omniscient, which means that He has perfect knowledge of all things across all the ages. So you don’t have to know because He does. We have absolutely nothing to be anxious, worried or uneasy about because the Sovereign God, the Great Shepherd who has all knowledge of all things is guiding us every step of the way. Our role is to trust Him, obey His instructions and follow His lead. And who wouldn’t want to follow a God like Him? In season and out of season know that you can cast your cares on Him and He will sustain you. May this shot of Truth break up the uncertainty in your life and push you to find rest in Him. Scriptures this week are Psalm 55:22, Philippians 4:6-7 and Psalm 91.
Whenever a promise is at stake there is going to be a fight for it. You will have to overcome the opposition, but know that you fight from victory not for it, because of the finished work of Jesus Christ. Sometimes we find ourselves facing what seems like insurmountable challenges, and if we look at those challenges through a natural lens we will feel defeated before the fight even begins. But, when we look at our challenges as opportunities for God to develop us and to set the stage for a spectacular show of His glory in the Earth, He releases a quiet strength and boldness that will fortify you for what's ahead. What encouraged me this week, when I took my eyes off of the hills from which my help cometh, was that He reminded me like He did Joshua, that He would NOT fail me nor abandon me and that if I remained strong and courageous, willing to obey His instructions, Study His Word and meditate on it daily, that I would have success in all that I do. And that is my prayer for all of us, that we would be resolved to eliminate distractions and follow this model to ensure that every season will be our winning season. What are you willing to give up in order to get what He has planned for you? Scriptures to study this week are Joshua 1:1-9; all of it (you have time since you're no longer distracted lol), and Matthew 6:33-34.
Our potential is a seed, and much like a seed, it can never become all that it is until it is planted in the right environment. Our potential will never materialize if we stay connected to environments that are not conducive to what our potential needs to thrive and grow. It does not matter how much time has passed, your potential does not have an expiration date, which means that it is still viable! If you feel complacent or stagnant it could be the byproduct of not being in the right environment. God protects His investments thus your potential will not manifest until the environmental conditions are perfect. There is too much inside of you to remain where you are. There are people who are waiting for you to release ALL that God has placed on the inside of you. Are you ready to assess, uproot and replant your potential? In this episode we discuss the elements of a conducive environment and the dangers of being unwilling to separate from people, places and things that will allow your potential to go unrealized. Scriptures to meditate on this week are Proverbs 27:17; 1 Corinthians 15:33; Proverbs 13:20; Psalm 1 and Luke 1:39-42
As I have joined the Love Is__ craze (Thanks Jam), I have watched every episode at least twice with the sole intention of catching whatever nuances I missed the first time. There is so much revelation in this show that I will be dissecting in future episodes (so catch up if you're behind, or start so that you can be in the know), however what I've been most impressed with is the self confidence of Yasir (one of the main characters). Despite not having what many women deem the essentials, he still pursues what he wants throwing caution to the wind. He is so confident in who he is beyond his circumstances that he relentlessly pursues his heart's desires and eventually wins! I thought to myself how many of us would have more wins in our lives if we just had more confidence in who we are in Christ! Our confidence is strengthened as we become more intimately acquainted with Jesus. The more we know Him the more we'll come to know ourselves! And it is only when you know who you are that you can confidently and without hesitation pursue the things He has called you to accomplish because you know that He can be trusted. In this episode I discuss the two types of confidence and use Scripture to help us deepen our awareness of who He is so that we can truly know who we are and the power of being authentic! It's one thing to know something but it's quite another when what you know becomes operational in your life! When you're confident in who you are, the spirit of comparison dies as a byproduct! Are you ready to move confidently in the direction of your future? This week's Scriptures are Jeremiah 17:7, Romans 5:8, Mark 12:29-31 and Philippians 1:6.
A distraction is defined as something that shifts our attention from things of greater importance to things of lesser importance. The more time we spend on the insignificant the less time we have to tend to the significant things that are essential to our destiny. Stagnation and complacency are a byproduct of being distracted! You cannot afford to waste another minute of your life being distracted by anything other than living a purpose filled life that will lead you to the possession of every promise Christ made. In this episode I discuss ways in which to not allow distractions to detour your destiny. Scriptures to meditate on this week: Ephesians 6:10-18, Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 24:44 and Galatians 5:22
Living unbothered is a discipline that requires complete and total trust in Christ. Being bothered is a byproduct of worry, frustration and anxiety, none of which is of God. And if it’s not of God then you are not obligated to remain bound to it! Learning how to live unbothered will require us to reacquaint ourselves with the Sovereignty and Power of Jesus. As our awareness of who He is increases so does our faith, and when our faith arises miracles manifest, favor is released, blessings overflow, peace and joy become our portion and victory is ours! Are you ready to live #Unbothered?
Podcasting is not as easy as it seems and neither is anything else in life worth having. After launching the first episode (which I was dissatisfied with, blame the overachiever in me) the Holy Spirit reminded me that at each new level I must become a beginner again and how unfairly I was treating myself by expecting "expert level execution" while still in my infancy as a podcaster! He gently reminded me that if I didn't like it, nothing was stopping me from starting again. It was such a breath of fresh air and just the encouragement and push I needed to come out of sulking. As I began to asses my dissatisfaction, I extracted some lessons that led to the design of a different approach that would lead me to different results. And then I began to see how the lessons I learned from my first podcast were transferable and could be applicable to everyone in a season of transition moving from one level to the next in any area of their life. Lesson 1: It's never as easy as it looks| Lesson 2: Timing is Everything | Lesson 3: You can't build anything without a solid framework. In this episode I share the invaluable lessons I learned and how you can use these same lessons to increase the fruitfulness in your own life! Make the decision today to just start over. So what it didn’t work that time. Keep trying until it does!
Sometimes we allow ourselves to become bound to our past decisions, mistakes, errors and mishaps. So much so that we unintentionally position ourselves to forfeit our future! It's time to let it go, you’ve been delayed long enough. In this episode I provide some practical tools on how to let go of the past so that you can position yourself for the future!
