  • Your Honor  (White Lies, Black Lives)

In this episode the crew gets together to discuss  Showtime’s Your Honor. The show is about a judge who does whatever he can to protect his son. It’s not a corney TV version of Taken so don’t roll your eyes yet. Basically the son fucks up and the his judge fathers is left cleaning it up. The judge is played by Bryan Cranston aka the goat Walter White. He lies, breaks the law, ruins relationships, I mean fully napalm those bridges all to keep his son protected. His moral fiber is destroyed. In the end we and the judge are all left wondering if it worth it. That’s why this is highly recommended. Let us know what u think.

  • Boss Level (Last Chance)

In this episode the crew gets together to discuss Hulu’ Boss Level. It’s kinda like the evil twin to the classic film “Ground Hog Day”. The jokes are a little darker, the reason for the every lasting reliving of the same day is a bit more serious, and of course, there’s at least a top less woman in this one. So the concept much like many of what we review isn’t a new one. A man spends about 1 hour 50 minutes trying to restore the life he fucked up to begin with. The adult humor, obligatory car chase, and back drop of a love story makes it the perfect date night movie. We don’t guarantee she will want to chill after but either way we promise some enjoyment watching this movie. Let us know what u think.

  • Coming 2 America (King of Queens)

In this episode the crew got together to discuss a kinda sorta maybe long awaited sequel but more like a remake or a reimagining of a classic???? We reviewed Coming 2 America. First, the movie is absolutely enjoyable. Whether it’s the nostalgia for seeing old characters emerge again (s/o to the Barbershop..get it lol) or the presentation of strong women in a matriarchal society, it’s not a regrettable watch. It’s hard to call it a sequel because you don’t really need to see the first to enjoy it. Old men in a barbershop being politically incorrect is still something that happens today. Case in point...this podcast. It’s raunchy enough to keep adults attention but clean enough that you don’t have to any of the “talks” with the children (or do mi nuh care a fi yuh pikney dem). Let us know what you think in the comments.

  • The U.S. vs Billie Holiday (Caged Bird Sings)

In this episode the crew gets together to discuss Hulu’s, The U.S. vs Billie Holiday. First we want to say thank your to Andra Day for her phenomenal performance, the Golden Globes got it right. The movie surrounds the story of Billie Holiday and her controversial song “Strange Fruit” which VIVIDLY depicted the scene of a lynching. The song is powerful, and it’s a manifestation of the phrase “the pen is mightier than the sword”, hence its controversy. The film gives us a glimpse as to who Ms. Holiday was (some may say creatively exaggerated) both on, but mostly off the stage. It’s hard to say whether or not this is enjoyable to watch though. There are some traumatic stories told and to the filmmakers’ credit, they are delivered in raw and unfiltered form, which also makes it hard to look away. Take a look let us know what you think.

  • Martyrs Pt.2 (Beat to the white meat) feat. Mr. Slem

In this episode the crew is joined my actor, writer and BIG tv energy, Anslem Richardson to discuss his pick from 2008, Martyrs. Before we get to the movie, we had the pleasure of speaking with Slem about his start in the business, and how it’s going now. He also convinced everyone except Lamel that the Boyz is the shit. The man was right and that’s the same for his movie selection. Martyrs, is a movie for those of us asking the question “what happens when we die”. It’s also a movie that brings to question how much are you willing to endure to answer the unanswered. Lastly, the movie touches on the aspect of vengeance and questions if it is as fulfilling as your search for it promised. All that in one episode. More than anything else this is an episode for creators. Remember you are not alone and  here is a chance to hear from someone who did it before you. Enjoy the listen.

  • Sylvies’s Love (Skootie Skootie Blues)

In this week’s episode the crew gets together to discuss Amazon Prime Video’s Sylvie’s Love. The movie transports the audience to 1950’s Harlem. Where blacks owned business, had dreams, and talent and drive could make all you wish for come true. It was the other side of America for this time period. The side that’s not riddled with ropes, burning crosses and men on horseback. The story is centered around Sylvie and Roberts love and the cruel trick farther time plays. Their love was able to withstand years apart and with each time they would meet, it was clear the bond was more and more undeniable. That love is tested throughout the movie with each reunion being tainted with secrets from their time apart. Ultimately it all comes down to Sylvie’s Love for Robert. Was it enough to make them both look pass the past and leaves their future in the imagination of the audience. It also shows that people been CAPPIN since the 50’s.

  • Malcom and Marie (What these B%*#he’s Want from a....)

In this episode the crew gets together and discuss Netflix’s original movie Malcom and Marie. The movie is familiar to ever couple, or at least, every man. It’s the fight she chooses to have when you are at peak happiness. It’s at that point that she decides that thing that’s “not a big deal”, “was ok” is suddenly not and you need to hear about it. But not before she makes u pry it out of her so she can say “you started it”. If it feels personal, or familiar, you’re not a virgin. The movie takes on a minimalist approach with John David and Zendaya not only being the two actors of note but the only actors in the film period. Movies like this MUST have a strong dialogue and actors who can keep an audience’s attention via delivery and cadence alone. To this regard the film doesn’t disappoint. It’s the hate to love you, drive you crazy but can’t do without, knock down, pick up, low blows, hurt words, and tender kisses that makes you love someone. Go on the roller coaster, bring your partner, do not have the conversation though it won’t end well.

  • Locked Down (Smokey & the Bandit )

In this episode the crew gets together and discuss HBOMAX’s latest original movie in the genre of “Quarantine-Dra-Medi”, LOCKED DOWN. Imagine if you will sitting in a house with a fried, higher than astronaut pussy, and one of you suggests robbing a bank, and then...you do it. That’s the movie. It’s a simple story of a couple who’s relationship has run its course being forced together due to COVID-19 quarantine. It has its moments, but for the most part it’s like watching a home video of movie audition. Still it’s acceptable. Let us know if you agree.

  • Judas and the Black Messiah (Can’t Serve 2 Masters)

The week the crew gets together to discuss “Judas and the Black Messiah” currently streaming on HBOMax for a limited time, and we definitely say watch this shit before it goes. The movie shows the city of Chicago during a time where we saw the rise of black revolutionaries like Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale. The movie focuses however on Chi-Town’s very own Fred Hampton (the black messiah) and the selfish nature of the very people he’s starting to liberate, personified in William O’Neil (Judas). You will be captivated by the passion in which he Fred speaks, hanging on to every infliction and note as if he was telling you how to get another stimulus check. Get lost in the duplicitous nature of Judas as he deceives the Fred and the panthers with his lies and deflections. And that’s the conversation. What happens when the people you want to help betray you.
