Do you often apologise when someone bumps into you with their cart? I used to do the same, but I've worked on breaking that habit. Unnecessary apologies send a message to our subconscious that we're at fault. Words have power, and "sorry" carries weight. Instead, try replacing apologies with lighthearted phrases like "oops" or "shall we dance?" I'd love to hear about your experiences with this change!

A variation on the classic 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique. Full exercise is also in the description!

The classic 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique is to notice 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste. For this variation, simply observe one time with each of the senses, 1-1-1-1-1. Then, when you are experiencing each sense, really take your time to Acknowledge what you are experiencing, Appreciate what you are experiencing, and Absorb what you are experiencing.
