David Hepworth has been writing, speaking and broadcasting about music since the 1970s. David launched and edited some of the most important music magazines in the UK, including Smash Hits, Q, Mojo and The Word. He was a presenter on the BBC's The Old Grey Whistle Test and the TV anchor for Live Aid in 1985. 

David Hepworth's books include 'Why the Beatles Were Underrated' and 'Abbey Road, The Inside Story of the World’s Most Famous Recording Studio'. Here he discusses the song that became the sound of Beatlemania in the UK in 1963, Twist and Shout.
