So, this is the interview that almost wasn’t.  Here is our interview with Peter Myers.  Peter was a high school math teacher who we were originally interviewing for our Staying in education series.  The day before we were set to record he canceled because of an incident that we will let him explain…he just wasn’t in the right headspace….understandably so just wait until you hear.   Things were so bad that he was almost our last interview for LEAVING education, but today he has some news that he is excited to share with us…..
This interview is worth listening to. Peter is so kind, funny, and proves that there are great teachers out there.

Kim talks about her crossroads with instructional coaching and discusses why teachers may not be open to coaching. They revisit the pedophile commentary from John Rich and continue their tirade. He thinks it's ok to drink and drive, objectify women, and be sexually promiscuous in his songs, but he calls teachers out because there might be books he doesn't like in a school media center? They also give their response to a country singer comparing teachers to pedophiles.

Then they create a fictitious world where there are fairy tale characters in our classrooms.  It's not too far off from reality.
