Twisters Movie Review: Transcendent Tornado Tale or Tepid Effects Teeming Trash?
Episode 89 of Watch Skip Plus answers whether a 28 year old film necessitated a sequel!
28 years after the original and wildly entertaining Twister was released (Special Effects! TV actors! Written by Michael Crichton! EP’d by Spielberg! Natural Disaster writ large!), Hollywood brain trusts got the idea for the ultimate oxymoron - “A standalone sequel”...with that GLEN POWELL guy! And so it goes: Twisters hits screens in a very “Top Gun: Maverick” style re-quel (listen to hear common denominator between both films) but is it worth a watch or a skip? Warning: the energy is high on this episode…so much so Cupcake completely forgets the ENTIRE format of the damn show!
