Merry Christmas 2022 🎄 and a Happy Anniversary as we celebrate another hilarious edition of Either Side of Nhill.  Two cousins one great chat.

In our final episode for 2022, we are celebrating what was a fun and jammed-packed first year of podcasting and you can tell it's the end of the year..because our brains are a bit fried! Listen in and laugh along as Kristy struggles with some really basic words such as "briefcase" and 'reindeer ears" - the struggle is real folks!

Mark is a proud and long-standing State Opera South Australia artist, both as a chorister and a principal performer, who is currently starring in State Opera’s latest production Love Burns.
Having performed with State Opera South Australia in shows such as The Merry Widow, La Traviata, Sweeney Todd, The Magic Flute, and Carmen, we hear from Mark what it's like working with State Opera and share highlights from some of the shows recently performed.

This is a wonderful conversation with interesting insights into the musical theatre world and what it's like to be a professional opera performer in Australia.

We also learn more about Mark in our Fast Five, You Don't Know Me segment and find out what his favourite food on a stick is!

Welcome to the ESON Games + the Unknown Stories of Adelaide and Melbourne

We are pretty excited this is our 10th ESON Episode and to celebrate we're going to have a bit of fun, and play our version of the ESON Games, think Hunger Games but only better.

Listen in as Ben and  Kristy both share 3 things about each other's town Ben - Melbourne, Kristy - Adelaide. 

The aim is to try and stump each other with an amazing or unique and obscure fact.

Welcome to a very special episode where we get to interview the interviewer.

Recently we had the pleasure of speaking with Andrew Kelso, producer and part-time host of the Breakfast Show at ABC Wimmera. When we asked Andrew if he’d like to be ESON he jumped at the chance!

We learn how Andrew got into radio and his love of community radio. He moved to the Wimmera for his job so he’s not a local but has developed a real love for the area.

Andrew is not only into radio but has a passion for writing and loves doing stand-up comedy.  He performed a sold-out season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2017 called A Virtual Tour of Melbourne which combined his love for comedy and history.

He still loves comedy and does the occasional set at The Anglers Club in Hurstbridge, an event that he is one of the founders of.

We had such a great time speaking with Andrew, he is great fun, and we hope to speak to him again soon. Maybe to discuss our concept for Le Tour of Hindmarsh!

We briefly discuss the Tour de France, which both of us are HUGE fans of.
Although we’re massively sleep deprived, we’re committed to pushing through to watch the last two stages.

Gday and Welcome to our Mid Year Celebration and Sports Wrap with Kat.

In this episode we are in FULL Party mode and celebrating our 6-month anniversary, also celebrating the wins, the awesome people we have met and the brilliant chats we've had.

Our last episode broke all the podcasting records and we couldn't be happier, we had hundreds of downloads of Ep6 and we were able to chat about our progress on ABC Wimmera with Andrew Kelso, and a news story in the local paper, thanks to Emily Gladdis.

Kat Colbert is our Nhill shining superstar and she gives us a comprehensive sporting update including the big footy match, the upgrade at the tennis club, and the massive golf tournament and shares her knowledge of the Tour de France.

Episode 6 is all about FOOD and we have a fantastic chat with Wendy about her previous involvement in the food industry and how her role took her all over the world.

Wendy actually recorded this episode in the beautiful and green Nhill Community Garden, and we learn who is using it and what's growing. We hear about her passions and what drives Wendy and how she got into the local council.
Also, we discuss cooking, local farming, and agriculture, this was Wendy's first-ever podcast and she was a natural.

Welcome to another episode of Either Side of Nhill with Ben and Kristy.

Both Ben and I absolutely love chatting about food, whether that is cooking, eating, or growing it, and it's obvious as we are constantly chatting about food, especially Fish N Chips!

So we decided to have a foodie episode but incorporating indigenous foods and cooking.

This time we are chatting with one of Nhill's finest local and indigenous food producers, Ni Ni Well's Matthew Koop.   We enjoyed such a wonderful Fast Five chat with Matthew, learning about his sustainable farming methods and how his hobby turned into producing and supplying  Quondongs, Muntries, and Wattleseed to some of the world's finest restaurants. 

Also, we spend a lot of time laughing and getting to know Jodie-Anne Barlow, who not only is my old high school buddy but also the producer of the upcoming TV show "Champagne Food on a Beer Budget", with husband Mick and also featured on My Kitchen Rules and  Ready Steady Cook.  What a cracker of a chat and you will just love Jodes and her special recipe too, which I am going to make!
