Do you like going to the movies but hate the stale popcorn and sticky floors? Look no further than this edition of TDM Commentaries. We cover the 1991 VHS classic Popcorn this time around. When a group of film school geeks decide to put on a horror-a-thon with wacky William Castle-esque theater gimics, a mysterious killer shows up to ruin the fun. This campy gore fest features genre faorites such as Jill Shoelen, Kelly Jo Minter and Dee Wallace. Tear your ticket and buy a bag. You may go home in a box!
On this episode, the Two Drink Minimum Commentaries crew takes on the most glorious film ever filmed on film: Hal Needham’s action masterpiece, MEGAFORCE. Actually, it’s a tremendous piece of garbage. It’s like the movie equivalent of a Cleveland Steamer, except it’s on your eyes instead of your chest. However, it’s entertaining as hell, and we mean that in the cheesiest way possible. So if you’re down for Barry Bostwick’s feathered hair, Henry Silva as Hugo Chavez and the most pointless battle since the Six Day War, hang out with Gary Hill and some of the filthiest bastards on the internet for the commentary on the film that needs no introduction. Or ending. Or middle. You’ll have fun. Trust us.
Put down your energon cubes and grab the matrix. It’s Willis Wheeler’s birthday and he wanted to watch Tranformers ’86 so we obliged him. When Optimus Prime is killed in what can only be described as an autobot apocolypse, It is up to Hot Rod and whoever’s left to make sure the Prime power source doesn’t fall into a powerful new enemy’s hands. Will they destroy Unicron and take back the galaxy? Only Stan Bush’s screaming synth can be sure. Featuring voices of Judd Nelson, Robert Stack, Orson Wells and the late Leonard Nimoy as Galvatron. Live long and roll out!
The machines have taken over! And our only hope is… Emilio Estevez? We’re screwed. Join Gary Hill and a bevy of film fanatics as they pump gas for Stephen King’s cocaine fueled epic, MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, on this edition of Two Drink Minimum Commentaries. Who needs dialogue when you’ve got filthy comments?
Need something to beat that winter chill? Do you know who your friends truly are? I do on this edition of TDM. We are covering John Carpenter’s The Thing this time around. Come join McCready, Nauls and the rest of the gang as they kill off an enemy that can change forms at will. Are their friends truly who they say they are? Find out in this classic!

Are you dead tired? Did you ever want to let off some steam? The crew does as well in this rousing commentary for a film featuring the Austrian wunderkind Arnold Schwarzenegger. We run the body parts flying, model exploding and very macho Commando from 1985. When retired green beret John Matrix’s former team is getting bumped off, his daughter is put under fire when she is kidnapped by a group of baddies. With the flight attendant Rae Dawn Chong in tow, he has 24 hours to get to South America to save the kid from a dictator Dan Hedaya, a seemingly insurmountable group of armed men and Bennett, that chain mail wearing psychopath played masterfully by Vernon Wells. So remember to hit up your army navy store for some heavy artillery It should be an explosive time!
