Two Guys One Cup

Robert Thomas is Elite. Unfortunately, our audio quality is not! The good news is, Stephen is off hotel wifi forever!

This podcast is already outdated! Recorded Monday night, we can't even cover the incredible win in Boston. But that will come soon.

The St. Louis Blues have been hot and cold, but they're hot right now so we can't be angry, even though we kinda wanna! We're not Will Smith angry, though, that's the good news. And keep Robert Thomas' name outchya freakin mouth!

The trade deadline has come and gone, and the St. Louis Blues have done... soooooomething.

The Blues acquired Nick Leddy for Oskar Sundqvist, Jake Walman, and a second-round pick. It's a strange move, but maybe not as bad as the guys' originally thought.

More broadly, they discuss where the Blues are at and what's coming next.

Then they do a quick hit on every trade that went on this week. The Nick Leddy era begins now!

The Blues complete a fantastic 7-4 victory over the Nashville Predators, and it's a win so good that Stephen has to talk about it all by himself in a Hawaii hotel room ahead of Ian's nuptials (a word that shouldn't be spelled that way)!

Pardon the subpar audio, but I did not put my microphone in my checked bag. Because I am not a psychopath. If you've read this far in the show notes, though, you might be! So who should really be judging who here, huh?

Okay. You're right. I'm sorry. We're trying to get better, we promise.

The Blues have been hot, but lost a tough one against the Rangers, so instead of overreacting, the guys just make fun of the Blackhawks instead.

The Blues have won three games in a row, but that's not where anyone's mind is tonight.

The St. Louis Blues have lost to a historically bad hockey team, but it's just one game, right? Wrong! The Blues are showing some worrying symptoms lately and the guys are here to talk about it.

While many coaches in the NHL were being fired, Craig Berube "secured the bag" as the kids say by signing an extension to be the head coach of the St. Louis Blues. Can anyone truly be upset by this inevitable outcome? Probably, but not these guys! Though the contract certainly would have washed down better with a better performance against New Jersey!

Also in this episode, Brad Marchand beclowns himself, the Arizona Coyotes beclown themselves, Gary Bettman beclowns himself, and other beclownings!

Plus, Tuukka Rask retires, Alexei Toropchenko, Logan Brown, and Robert Bortuzzo sign extensions, and the guys remember the Mapquest days!

Rocky Wirtz, owner of the Chicago Blackhawks, makes an absolute public disgrace of himself, and the guys react. Plus, the Royal Rumble came to town!

The Blues have had quite a week, and it's hard to figure out what we should believe about this team. So instead the guys speculated wildly!

Plus, the "Dellbow," the Coyotes' new den, and the long-awaited return to the 2G1C podcast of the one and only... Mike... YEOOOOOOOOOO!!!
