Let's talk about this - 1st generation parent raising 2nd generation children. Their privilege is different because of the access they have to what we are building with them. Our expectations taken from our own childhood experience are unmet because, well, they are part of a different generation. This includes parenting, language, food, culture, privilege, and access to things we didn't have.

We had a time. These aren't even all of them! I'm so happy to have been able to provide the time this summer to be with my kids. Since they've each been 12 weeks old, they've had to go to day care cause Mom had to head to work, being home with them was definitely a different vibe. Happy to have been able to, listen for more.
