Welcome back to TWGTF and our second week of Noirvember! Well its already been a great first set of films in episode 125 and this week we take it up a notch! The subject of our episode is the one and only Nicholas Ray master filmmaker! Up first is Ray's debut feature with an incredible look at youth and love in trouble with the beautifully sad They Live by Night! Following this we take a step into the realm of genius as a year later Ray delivers us one of the best films as well as maybe the best performance by Humphrey Bogart. It is of course the 1950 classic about love and obsession in Hollywood In a Lonely Place!

Welcome back you birds and twists, to another episode of TWGTF Noirvember! Its been a long year and we are finally back to one of our favorite times of the year! This time we kick off the month with two Hong Kong noir films! You could argue both of these are and are not qualified for topic of Noir! To that we say take it on the arches if you don't like this type of hooch! First up we head to Saigon and then to Vietnam then back to Hong Kong! Its of course the final and potentially the best in the Better Tomorrow series, A Better Tomorrow III Love and Death in Saigon. Following that we take to the night streets of Hong Kong to find a lost gun! Its of course the film by Johnnie To entitled PTU aka Police Tactical Unit! 

Spoiler Alert: A Better Tomorrow 3 is the superior film in the franchise!!

Welcome back TWGTF fans to part two of our best of the horror decade 1990's addition! In the final chapter of the morbid tale things get turned up in terms of both quality and spookiness in all the best ways! So sit back get a good grip on your nerves and be comfortable if you can. We have it all from ghost to goblins to yes, yes we have Vampires...

Welcome back fans of the spooky! A little something different this week as we are getting ready to drop two massive episodes on you in the coming two weeks! So as a result of our hefty watching schedule as well as not wanting to leave you without an episode this week we decided to head out to the theater for something a bit more contemporary! This week we went out and saw the latest recipient of the very coveted Palm D'or from 2021! This is the latest film from Julia Ducournau who was previously mentioned on our 2010 best of the horror decade list with her film RAW! We now take a look at her latest contribution and what could easily be the winner of best foreign language feature for the Oscars with the oddly sweet body horror film Titane!

Welcome back to the spookiest time of the TWGTF year! That's right its the second week in October and we are doing two more horror movies! Tyler gave Ben a bit of free reign and since he didn't want to break from tradition we did at least talk about one Giallo film this year! Up first we take a look at one of the most famous in the genre by looking at Mario Bava's 1964 classic Blood and Black Lace! Following that the boys take a short detour onto a bridge as they discuss one of the best and most recent horror films with the 2020 quickly becoming a cult hit The Empty Man!

That's right ladies and gentleman we are back and it is October! We did not plan out two horror movies to kick off the spookiest time of the year but man alive did Tyler kind of nail it with these two fine examples of Japanese filmmaking! Both films star the lovely and extremely talented Meiko Kaji! Up first we dive into her 1970's film about a woman gang leader who is truly being haunted by the sins of her past with the outrageously blood Blind Woman's Curse! Following that we take a jump two years into the future when it becomes clear that Ms. Kaji is going from star to straight up Icon with the start to a very famous series in Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion!

Spoiler Alert: Kaji's outfit rules and we are aware this is episode 121 despite us thinking we are on 111!

Welcome back TWGTF fans and we have made it to another 10 episodes! I am a proud to say that this one is one we have been waiting to do for sometime! This week we look at an American filmmaker who has been around for almost two decades and has given us some of the more memorable films in recent memory! We are of course talking about the second in our Anderson series the one and only Wes Anderson! We get into all of his films one way or another and discuss this unique filmmaker and why we both love and are frustrated by him.
