Welcome back mates! Yes I said mates as it is time to dive into the drain that is British Kitchen Sink Dramas! Yes those, I don't know what they are either but don't worry Tyler will tell you all! Speaking of All this episode is incredibly rough so you are getting an unvarnished look at what our episodes are before they go through the edit bay! We had a big melt down at the final part of the edit and now we are making chicken salad out of chicken s$#*! So our two films tonight are nothing short of fascinating looks at British Kitchen Sink Dramas! Up first we have the 1959 film from Jack Clayton which is surprisingly also his first and man what a debut with the 1959 film Room at the Top! Following that we dive into journeyman filmmaker John Schlesinger's early sixties work. Before he changed the Oscar's landscape with Midnight Cowboy he first delivered us a film about one of the most unlikeable men ever committed to celluloid played by Tom Courtenay as the titular Billy Liar!

Its time to open up that most sacred of arcs! That most holy of holy scripture! The one and only Cannon collection! Tyler has once again brought us two truly strange movies that by the end if you aren't saying "Only Cannon could make it." Then you don't get Cannon! That or you have only seen Love Streams. Our first offering is the film from 1980 which some have called one of the worst movies of all Time! We however have a different take on the science fiction musical simply entitled The Apple! Following our big musical we are treated to another movie that really takes liberties with the science fiction genre as well! It also might take liberties with almost every genre when you come to think of it. It is of course the 1988 strangely intriguing film. Staring the gorgeously homely Kathy Ireland as Wanda the titular, Alien from LA!

Spoiler Alert: This is one of those take out a bottle or a joint for episodes. It gets pretty silly at moments!

Welcome back to another amazing episode of TWGTF  This week we dive deep into the world of female filmmakers! First we look at the film that proceeded Chloe Zhao's Oscar win with her 2017 film The Rider! Following that we look at the long awaited third film from Miranda July with her 2020 effort Kajillionaire! Both are incredible examples of filmmaking as well as acting and we hope you will enjoy!

Welcome back after a few weeks off and some much needed rest the boys bring you part two of the 1985 double bill! This time we take a trip over seas to Taiwan and look at two very very unique looks at a culture shifting in two very different ways! Up first we look at the Edward Yang film about those who survive and those who don't when it comes to change in Taipei Story! Following that we take a look at the beautiful and fascinating look at growing up in the shifting culture by Hsiao-Hsien Hou in his middle chapter of his growing up trilogy with The Time to Live and the Time to Die!

A week after the fourth and a week after some serious R&R for our boys we are back with a special and some much needed rest! So as not to cheat you out of your weekly dose we have brought you another best picture nominee from the year 1975! That's right we are bringing you the sweaty crime drama Dog Day Afternoon!

Up first from 1985 we have an early work from Stephen Frears in the film where the title says it all with My Beautiful Launderette! Following that we jump in a drop top and head across the country with three fabulous ladies in the 1995 road comedy To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar!

Welcome back to the big 111th episode of TWGTF and this week we are heading back. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back into the past! Two movies from before the year 1951 and boy are they great! First up we look at the beautiful slow moving drama from Yasujiro Ozu about the duty of family over ones own happiness in the 1949 film Late Spring! Following that we dive into the deep end of a Hollywood pool with one of the most influential films of its time if not any with Billy Wilder's Sunset Blvd!

Following that we get on some go fast boats and head down to the warm sun and sand with the 2006 problematic thrill ride by Michael Mann Miami Vice!
