TwoSistas and it’s FantabulousFriday, September 30, 2022, and it’s National Podcast Day!!! Updates on Hurricane Ian and its’ aftermath as the rescue and clean up efforts continue. We always try to look for the blessings in the midst of the storm and we know personally how hard that is. Janis (having lived in Florida for 7 years) went through several hurricanes including Hurricane Charlie which Hurricane Ian somewhat followed it’s path. By now, we all know that “Ian” was approximately 3 times the size of “Charlie”.
Think about this for a moment: the State of Florida is 500 miles long and 160 miles wide - “Ian” was 500 miles wide (not sure how long) and basically every 67 counties in Florida were affected.
As the efforts continue to get back to normal life, remember your family and friends to whom suffered great losses, specifically on the West coast of Florida. Please continue to heed the updates from your local and state officials.
We saw the worst of storms with “Ian” yet we continue to see the best in humanity! Please stay safe!
We hope you have an amazing FantabulousFriday! Let us know how you are doing with the aftermath of Ian - how has this affected you and your family? We would love to hear from you - Share it with us! Go to our website and leave us a voice message:

TwoSistas and its WealthWellnessWednesday this September 28, 2022, with Esther Avant. Esther is the founder of EA Wellness and the host of her podcast, Live Diet Free. She specializes in helping busy women reach their health and weight loss goals so they can be their healthiest, happiest, and most confident selves.
Esther has spent the last 16 years showing women how to take action on their goals while still enjoying their lives. And that is what we all should be doing - enjoying our lives!!
How do you confidently move forward with your wellness goals? One step at a time. It’s about consistency and working with different ways and means to change our behaviors.
Esther dives into all this and more and really shares from a very realistic approach that we should always focus on the non-scale victories. While as women we tend to focus on the all important number on the scale, that number is not what our value represents.
Esther confidently coaches her clients through the pillars of wellness. When we give ourselves the opportunity to change knowing that whatever path we choose will be hard, it is a rewarding experience to know that the hard work you put forth will pay off!
Wellness is not a one-size fits all - you have to build the foundation first. The pillars will start to appear and we can confidently go forward knowing that we achieved something more precious, more valuable than our excuses and justifications. We gained our confidence!
Thank you so much Esther! To learn more about Esther and to connect with her further, please check out her website and various other social media platforms:

TwoSistas and it’s FantabulousFriday, September 23, 2022, and for those in the Northeast, free coffee Friday at Cumberland Farms!! Today was also our 2nd time simulcasting through Clubhouse as well. We always want to show our authentic side, learn new things and apply them with what we are passionate about.
Although Carroll-Sue is somewhat new to “audio” social media, Janis has been on the “audio” for about a year. Certainly not an expert but what she loves about audio social media, if you want to share what you are passionate about and don’t want to show up on camera, you can do it through your audio app. Whether through Clubhouse or Wisdom, both apps can give you that edge to literally connect with people from all over the world in a way that feels comfortable to you.
A chat about this and that, the little tasks that we complete each morning, a little nothing and something about well, something such as next Friday, September 30th it’s National Podcast Day followed by National Coffee Day on Saturday, October 1, 2022 - we all know where Janis will be on that day!! (Janis imploring her “word salad” abilities!!
We hope you have an amazing FantabulousFriday! Let us know what you do each day, routinely which helps keep you in check We would love to hear from you - Share it with us! Go to our website and leave us a voice message:

TwoSistas on TriumphTuesday, September 20, 2022, welcomed Kathy Fritz. Kathy is a certified master hormone coach who helps women in perimenopause and menopause experience relief from hormonal symptoms like fatigue, hot flashes, moodiness, and insomnia. Her clients lose weight, rediscover their energy, feel sexy, and stop thinking they're losing their minds.
Kathy shared her journey and her experiences on why she decided to become a Master Certified Hormone Coach. Her background in education gives her the expertise to individualize material so her clients can go from where they are to where they want to be and that is not always easy. As we discussed, it boils down to choosing your “hard” and choosing it wisely.
She is a proponent of naturally balancing your hormones. Her education and experience has shown that if we release our egos and make sustainable choices, we give ourselves the opportunity and space to learn and grow.
Kathy is a former English teacher and of course, Janis had to ask her an “off topic” question. We all know she loves to read and write and whenever “affect” and “effect” are going to be used, she looks them up. “Effect” is the noun; “Affect” is the verb, however there is always an exception to the rule (of course!) “Affect” can also be a verb (and that’s where some confusion comes in!)
Back to the topic of conversation, Kathy works with her clients 1:1 and she is in the process of creating her membership which will be group coaching. Working 1:1 is “individualized” however Kathy stressed that “movement” is included with self-care. She stressed that this is in the “non-negotiable” category - “everyone has 5 minutes” and she is so right!
Since it is TriumphTuesday, Kathy shared with us what her triumph was. What was your triumph?
Thank you so much Kathy! To learn more about Kathy and to connect with her further, please check out her website (where she offers free resources, etc.) and various other social media platforms

TwoSistas and it’s FantabulousFriday, September 16, 2022 with Patricia Kolesa! Patricia is a registered dietitian based out of New Jersey, United States. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Rutgers University where she double minored in Biology and Psychology. From there, she went on to complete her internship and masters degree to become a dietitian at Wellness Workdays where she had an emphasis in Sports Nutrition and Entrepreneurship.
Since her undergraduate, Patricia has had the opportunity to work with multiple populations most notably, the United States Rowing Team, weight loss surgery, diabetes, weight management, cardiovascular disease, renal disease and most recently, geriatrics.
Patricia knew she wanted to work in the health industry and uses an anti-diet, individualized approach in nutrition and fitness. Her mission is to help working women like herself become more curious/excited about food and find exercises that they enjoy so they can achieve overall health without the added stresses of weight loss and dieting.
Her insight into food and nutrition goes way beyond just “dieting”. It’s about simplicity, taking action and being mindful. In order to succeed, you need to dedicate the time. Different people require different nutrition and hydration needs. Patricia works with clients 1:1 and in her internships learned more valuable info on the nutrition needs of athletes.
Patricia also learned at an early age on how to read labels and we had a great conversation! She also provided her take on energy drinks and the hazards (yes, there are hazards) of relying on those types of energy drinks.
Now read this - you just have to listen to this podcast with Patricia - she’s witty, knowledgeable and her expertise and insight is the advice you just may be looking for!
Thank you so much Patricia! To learn more about Patricia and to connect with her further, please check out her website, Instagram page and join her Facebook group:

TwoSistas and it’s WealthWellnessWednesday, September 14, 2022, with Dr. Alissa Kuizinas. Dr. Kuizinas is a board certified podiatrist specializing in holistic foot health. She teaches women how to restore their feet using footwear, exercises and lifestyle changes. She is incredibly passionate about foot health education and empowering women to make sustainable changes to their bodies and eliminate pain.
We may carry the world of worries on our shoulders but it’s our feet that do carry us around! Part of foot care comes from the education side. For instance, the shoes that we pick out. If we are a jogger, our sneakers will be different from someone who just uses their sneakers to get around.
Dr. Kuizinas gave us great insight and recommendations for proper foot function. (Foot function is something I never really thought of until I actually had to. This is far too often the misconception of proper foot care! Its starts with the self-care of proper foot function and so much more!)
Dr. Kuizinas’ practice is not only in-person, but she also offers virtual appointments as well as a Transform Your Feet Membership!!! (Taken directly from her website):
Did you know that you have complete control over how well your feet feel from day to day?
Do you suffer from bunions, tailor’s bunions, hammertoes, or plantar fasciitis?
Most people are unaware that there are simple exercises, lifestyle changes, and easy footwear shifts that can transform your feet into healthy, pain free, and strong feet that will support you throughout your life!
You don’t have to rely on bulky orthotics, orthopedic shoes, or surgery to eliminate your foot pain and live a vibrant, active, and healthy life!
In fact, virtually everyone can benefit from a foot exercise program. Our feet spend the vast majority of time stuffed into poorly fitting shoes, and rarely receive the exercise they need to support themselves.
Get your feet moving today!!!
Thank you so much Dr. Kuizinas! To learn more about Dr. Kuizinas and her holistic foot practice and to connect with her further, please check out her website and various social media platforms:

TwoSistas and it’s FantabulousFriday, September 9, 2022, still Summer time which officially ends on September 22nd although waking up this morning in New England with a temperature of 57 degrees, the Fall weather is starting early.
Part of why we both love FantabulousFriday is that it’s a celebration of all that we have accomplished. We think that all too often, we overlook and focus on what we did not complete so we don’t take that opportunity to renegotiate our “task” list. It’s not about just creating a “list” - yes; of course that’s important! We like to tackle the “list” into smaller bite size portions.
In other words, on a sheet of paper, create a list of everything you want to accomplish, goals, tasks, whatever it may be for you. Once you are done with that list, go through it again - you may look at your list and think, okay, I have a lot to do today but your list may be unrealistic to obviously complete everything. This is where you ingenuity comes in!
Take a 2nd sheet of paper and focus on your non-negotiables; for example, your self-care each morning (movement, journaling, reading). Typically we have 2 - 4 things that are just that - non-negotiable. Those “nons” you know are going to be performed each and every day. If you are starting your Fall cleaning, say a closet, break it down (give yourself 2 - 3 days to complete.)
It’s about your mindset, changing your perception of time to work for you vs the other way around. You will complete your goals and tasks that much quicker and feel accomplished! That’s what it’s all about!!
We hope you have an amazing FantabulousFriday! Let us know how we can help you narrow down your To-Do List - we are not experts but certainly experts at what we know and would love to coach you on what has worked for us! What did you think of today’s podcast? We would love to hear from you - Share it with us! Go to our website and leave us a voice message:

TwoSistas and it’s WealthWellnessWednesday, September 7, 2022, with Fred Rutman. Fred first and foremost, is a survivor. He has a genuine flair for taking a critical point in his life and turning it around to inspire others. He swears by intermittent fasting!!
Fred recalls the summer of 2009. You see; he is a bit of a medical mystery and in many terms, everything he has been through, he shouldn’t be here - but we are so happy he is! He had a very unusual medical misadventure that caused him to be clinically dead, 20 times. (It’s difficult to put into words and describe what Fred has gone through.) Literally, by all accounts, he was “repeatedly dead.” (A cat has (9) lives; Fred, well technically . . . )
Now, please do not misunderstand. As Fred further described in great detail, with everything he has been through, he still has a sense of humor (you just have to listen to the podcast!) He has a wit about him as he chuckled at his email address which a friend of his said he should use, and of course, he does: [email protected] -
Fred was “zoning” out and would have these episodes of falling and hitting his head. The medical doctors thought he was having a heart attack but as it turned out, after 20 clinically dead episodes and the medical community finally ruling out he was having a heart attack, he has diagnosed with a “full heart block” which is where your heart just stops therefore leading to a loss of circulation of blood, falling and being rushed to the hospital.
As a result of his condition, he has a pacemaker. As a further result of his medical mystery and from all of the concussions he received and before he was officially diagnosed, he continues to suffer from PTSD, and brain trauma.
Fred came across a supportive Facebook group of intermittent fasting and became a coach and coaches others to learn the benefits and live by intermittent fasting.
In his words, there is nothing like intermittent fasting. Once he began fasting, within (6) months, Fred no longer needed his insulin! Medical mystery or not, Fred is NOT dead; he certainly was (20 times to be exact) but he is moving forward with his life and inspiring others to do the same!
Thank you so much Fred! To learn more about Fred and to connect with him further, please check out his Instagram and LinkedIn Page. You may also email him at:
