Helen has worked for some amazing (London and Midlands) architect firms and managed some amazing projects - both commercial and residential. She even went on to become a specialist in sustainability... sorry a 'Head of Sustainability' for a large corporate. All whilst being a mum of 2 and managing her own house-build project.

Yep, Helen's bossed it!

Helen's own house build was full eco/sustainability features, as would (always) be the case, and it looked mad and cool as hell (as would also be the case).

Given Lisa's decision to become a chef was pretty last minute at the young age of 16, shocking her family considerably (she was going to be an architect before this!); she has still gone on to manage and curate her career brilliantly.

Clearly very talented in the culinary arts, combined with an amazing work ethic, positive approach to working (and the ability to stand A LOT of misogyny from bosses and colleagues); Lisa has traveled the world with her job, cooking for celebrities and royalty, and working in the most exotic of locations... And always one phone call at a time.

Dr Fozia's story is packed full of important dialogue about gender, race and the challenges of corporate career'ing vs motherhood.

She sees it as her personal duty to not only give women a stronger voice in the 'science' industry, but most importantly, 'brown' women, a louder voice; because as she says brilliantly 'You can be what you can't see'. And she'll do it, because she's utterly brilliant.

Alessia’s story is not an easy listen, but it’s an important one. In the chat she talks candidly about being groomed at 16 and then going into two very abusive relationships. However, she now runs her own business helping, supporting and promoting a strong dialogue for female survivors of mental, physical and sexual abuse.

The fact that Alessia is now doing what she can to turn her journey into a positive, not just for herself, but other women, is remarkable; because as she says in the chat, no matter what age or what circumstance, you can always create a new chapter for yourself; you can always start anew.

Steph is an omnicompetent (great word) Vet, which means she can treat all animals. However, she's an equine (horse) specialist.

She also teaches the Veterinary course she took at Nottingham Uni. So she's pretty busy! Either way, Steph really LOVES her job - her vocation - which is why she is so immersed in it, and it's a privilege to hear her talk about it. Truly passionate women are remarkable and absolutely unstoppable!

Not only have the Genever sisters all done amazing 'solo' things and had/have amazing solo careers, but they're on a mission to make their farm - Croft Farm - a beacon/a case study for how farming can work in the decades to come. Decades that will be without Government subsidies for financial propping.

In the chat we talk about all things farming; from more traditional farming to more eco 'regen' farming. Plus the changes that are coming in 2027, and with that a real mental health issue that probably like most of you, I was completely unaware of. We also talk quite a bit about the role of women in farming and how necessary it is for women to be a greater part of the conversation - ALL conversations - going forward.

Katy is an energetic, driven, passionate woman. Whether she's designing new custom jewellery (which although completely relevant to her degree bears no link to her career since), travelling to interesting places or cold-water swimming in the UK in winter, there's generally always something interesting happening for and around her.

Because she makes stuff happen.

Katy (humbly) describes her career as opportunistic, and yes, there's an element of truth to that; however, as our favourite saying on TWW goes: Destiny favours the brave, luck the prepared'.
