Today we take a very brief look at 1 Corinthians 15, the chapter that speaks of the resurrected body and what that will be like. We spend a couple of minutes on Plato's Cave Allegory as introduction. This is the last sermon in this Eastertide series  on how Jesus' resurrection explains us.

Today we read John 21:21-22 and Acts 3:1-10. We are sent by Jesus into the world just as He was sent into the world. And we need the Holy Spirit for that. How did that work practically in the first event recorded in Acts after the early church in Jerusalem was formed?

Today we look at Acts 2:42-47, the description of the first church community in Jerusalem after Pentecost. How did they live together? What did that church look like in the light of Jesus' resurrection? And we also read 1 Peter 2:4-6;9-10 where Peter says clearly that we are a chosen people in order to proclaim......

Today we read Colossians 3:1-17. This is about how we are to live with each other. But it is much more than rules or "tips to improve your life". It's about community, authentic community in which we give grace, encourage, build one another up, and are also able and willing to correct and sharpen each other.

Today we start a new series for Eastertide, the time between Easter and Pentecost. We will be looking at how the resurrection explains us, rising from a quote by Stanley Hauerwas: "Those who follow Christ will be unable to ‘explain’ his resurrection. The resurrection will explain them.” We want to be as practical as we can about how our lives are explained by the resurrection. Today we look at Romans 6:4-11.

Today we celebrate Easter, Jesus as the Bread of Life. We read John 6:32-35. Even though it may not look like Jesus has risen because nothing much seems changed, it is true. He is alive! And He gives us life!
