Aether Games will be distributing their multi-game franchise on Ultra,  so we brought Jens Peeters, their CEO, on to talk about how you build a  multiverse, where real value for gamers lies, and how to set pricing on  NFTS.

It’s been a mad minute since we had David and Nicolas on the show to  give us an update about how things are progressing at Ultra. Since last  time we launched our Uniq Marketplace, are prepping wave3 and the launch  of Ultra Games, and are starting to on-board developers into our  ecosystem.  

Even with all the market madness, it’s an exciting time at Ultra! I know you guys are keen to hear from the execs, but I also wanted to  give you an opportunity to engage with them directly.

So now we have a lot of data about NFTs and about the huge market of  users and apps that actively uses them.   

How do we get to that data sensibly?   How do we gain insights from that data that we can use?   

How do we make it easier for devs new to the space to use that data and  build with it?

Being able to play a game online and win real money is a dream that  literally every kid has. For a very select few who become professional  players, it becomes a reality.   The thing is that this disparity between the absolute best players and  everyone else is based around a legacy technical setup that needs to be  democratized and replaced by something more fair. If we want esports to  be big (and we do!) that means MORE players winning MORE prizes.  Our upcoming tournament platform is really about that. Today we have  with us Louis Regis from Xborg to get his take on esports, on-chain  data, and how transparency changes everything.  Let’s get to it.

We at Ultra believe that there should be a better way to be entertained.  This goes for everything from how you explore and play games, to how  you use digital assets like items in those games. It encompasses how  communities are built and managed, and includes how we play together in  things like tournaments or on streaming platforms. Gaming is a big part  of our lives today and we think a better, more holistic approach needs  to be built from the ground up to enable that future.  

Because of how wide this vision is, we’ve started expanding who we talk  to on Ultra Chill so that our audience (that’s you!) can get a wider  lens on what is potentially possible, and where new innovations are  likely to impact how people play. These aren’t all going to be partners  or directly working with Ultra, but we think that their ideas and  expertise are all relevant and interesting.
