For the first time in more than eight months of war, the United Nations Security Council has passed a resolution calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. The security council says Israel has accepted the proposal, and US officials are now pressuring Hamas to do the same. But, there are few signs of concrete commitment to ending the war.
