New Testament scholars Dale Allison and Justin Bass discuss their different approaches to the evidence for Jesus' resurrection.
Bass, author of 'The Bedrock of Christianity: The unalterable facts of Jesus' death and resurrection' says the evidence from the core historical facts points to a resurrection. Allison, author of 'The Resurrection of Jesus: Apologetics, Criticism, History' is less certain that these facts lead us to a bodily resurrection.

Back when the "New Atheism" was ceasing to be "new", there was much talk and debate as to what would come next. Alain de Botton, author of "Religion for Atheists" advocated a controversial "Atheism 2.0" in which he suggested there should be "temples for atheism". He discussed these views with then recently-converted Christian academic James Orr. Do the trappings of religion make sense without the kernel of faith? First broadcast Feb 2012.

Glen Scrivener's book 'The Air We Breathe: How We All Came to Believe in Freedom, Kindness, Progress & Equality' makes the case that our belief in modern human rights & values are a direct product of the Christian story that shaped the West.
New Testament critic Bart Ehrman, whose own book 'The Triumph of Christianity' tells the story of how the faith swept the world, responds to Glen's view that our embrace of equality, compassion and sexual consent are uniquely Christian.

From the archives, three Christians of different theological persuasions discussed the existence of demons:
John Tancock (JT) believes demons are real, and has been involved in deliverance ministries
Will Van Der Hart believes in a spirtual realm but wants to stop the stigmatisation of people with mental health issues as "demonised".
Jonathan Clatworthy believes demons don't exist and that modern day deliverance ministry can do more harm than good.
