“I found a lot people, Catholic and non-Catholic, really interested in the early history of the church. And for the non-Catholics, it proved to be very challenging because they were not able to find their own faith or their own churches in the first few centuries of the church. They could think they saw them in the pages of the New Testament but once you start reading the Fathers of the Church or any writings of the early era, you don't see Calvanism, you don't see Presbyterian, you don't see Methodism, you don't see Unitarianism, none of that is there. “I love how… if you think about David, if you think about Jesus, how they really live out their public ministry at this particular age. Because that’s when they just started, right? People nowadays think that I have to have everything figured out by the time I’m 23, ‘yong ganoon. And it’s okay to make mistakes, I mean, David had to go through a lot, he had to learn a lot to really start this real calling of his life at 30. It’s okay to not be where you’re supposed to be at 23, where you have your life figured out. Because God is still working on your story and when you allow God to work on you, to prune on you, when the time is right, that’s where your ministry or vocation will start.”

“Sometimes we are tempted to think na ‘yong religion natin is just for us, private lang, na we’re not supposed to talk about this or talk about that pag nasa work tayo. But when God places you somewhere and you sense na, you see a situation where you need to speak up or you need to do something, that is God telling you to be obedient rather than be afraid na ‘baka ma cancel ako.’ That’s just a quick reminder for everybody to speak about our faith.
