And for the non-Catholics, it proved to be very challenging because they were not able to find their own faith or their own churches in the first few centuries of the church. They could think they saw them in the pages of the New Testament but once you start reading the Fathers of the Church or any writings of the early era, you don't see Calvanism, you don't see Presbyterian, you don't see Methodism, you don't see Unitarianism, none of that is there. What you see is the Catholic Church and Catholic beliefs, Catholic customs, Catholic practices, Catholic morals. So I came to see that history is a great way to confirm the bonafities of the Church."
