The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast welcomes you once again to our study in the book of Ephesians with our teacher, Dr. John G. Mitchell.

After a brief review of our last lesson, Dr. Mitchell will be expounding Ephesians chapter 2 verses 1 thru 3.

Dr. Mitchell reiterates the three R's of Redemption in chapter 1, Reconciliation in chapter 2 and Revelation in chapter 3.

To begin with here in Chapter 2, we see what we once were in times past. We were dead in trespasses and sins. We lived like the rest of mankind as children of wrath.

It is not a pretty picture is it?

Let's turn to Ephesians chapter 2:1 with our teacher, Dr. Mitchell.

The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast continues in Ephesians chapter 1 with Dr. John G. Mitchell. We will be looking into verses 19 thru 23 where the focus is on the power of God who raised Christ from the dead and this is the same power that seated Christ at the right hand of God in the heavens.

This resurrection power is directed to each and everyone who knows Jesus Christ as savior.

Our study takes into one of the two prayers the Apostle wrote in Ephesians. In verses 15 thru 23, he gives us the reason for his prayer on behalf of these believers. He also gives us what it is he is asking of God for this church. It is to give them a Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, Himself.

Dr. Mitchell walks us through this passage, showing several other passages dealing with the glory of God in revealing truth to open hearts.

Take your bible and turn with us as Dr. Mitchell expounds Ephesians chapter 1 verses 15 thru 23.

We are studying in Ephesians chapter 1 verses 11 - 14.

Dr. Mitchell points out how everything in our redemption is to the praise of the glory of God who has manifested His grace to us through the gospel of the grace of God.

Dr. Mitchell brings out the facts that the Father chose us, the Son bought us and the Spirit sealed us in Christ. Complete redemption from beginning to end, for time and eternity for each one who trusts the Lord Jesus Christ.

Also, Dr. Mitchell spells out four things that happen instantaneously when a person believes in the Lord Jesus. He will speak of redemption, the indwelling of the Spirit, the sealing by the Holy Spirit in Christ, and the baptism by the Spirit into Christ and the body of Christ.

Welcome! We are grateful for each of you who are listening to the Unchanging Word and praying for us.

Now in verses 11 through 14 of this first chapter of Ephesians, we find out the fourth thing that God has done through the Son. We are an inheritance for God and have an inheritance from God.

Dr. Mitchell expounds on the meaning of this inheritance. And as verse 14 tells us, this inheritance is guaranteed by the Holy Spirit, Himself until its future acquisition.

Now this promise is to those who have heard the word of truth and have believed the Gospel of God's salvation which He still provides in Jesus Christ.

Have you accepted God's provision of salvation from sin through Jesus Christ?

Let's join Dr. Mitchell in Ephesians chapter 1 verse 11.

In Ephesians, the apostle presents the revelation of the church, the body of Christ. So here in verses 8 though 10, he shows us the revelation of God's grace which He abundantly supplied to us who believe.

Not only that, but he made known to us the revelation of God's will concerning the fullness of time and the future summing up of all things in Christ, both in heaven and on earth.

In a world which seems out of control, it is encouraging to know that God is doing and will do exactly what He said He would do through Jesus, His beloved Son.

Let turn with Dr. Mitchell to Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7 for more encouragement from God's Unchanging Word.

Welcome to the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. We are studying Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7 in this lesson from Dr. Mitchell.

After hearing about the 4 things the Father has done in and through Christ for us in verses 3-6, we next look at the Son, through whom God has brought about our redemption. In verses 7 thru 12, we see the work of the Son of God.

Let me ask you…Are you in need of forgiveness?

Dr. Mitchell quotes more than 10 different verses from the Scriptures concerning the fact that Jesus died for our sins, and therefore God does not remember our sins anymore forever.

Now that is good news!!

Let's join Dr. Mitchell, Ephesians 1 verse 7.

Welcome to the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. In Ephesians chapter 1 verses 5 thru 7, our teacher, Dr. Mitchell explores the truths revealed by God through the apostle Paul.

Dr. Mitchell will speak of the meaning of the word redemption found in verse 7.

Redemption is based solely in the finished work of Christ… e.g. his shed blood on the cross and his bodily resurrection from the dead…the proof of our redemption.

It is now our faith in His finished work of redemption in Christ that makes it real in one's life.

IS God's redemption real in your life? By faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, it is.

But if you do not yet have His precious redemption, you can. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, then tell God that you trust Him on the basis of His revealed and written Scriptures, the Word of God.

Let's join Dr. Mitchell in Ephesians 1:5-7 with our redemption which is in Christ Jesus Our Lord.
