While i didn't acknowledge the magnitude of my asking 
He fulfilled my needs with ease 
though it was never easy for me 
i always knew i wanted to be free

dark skin & bad hair was created with the idea in mind that no matter how dark your skin is or how nappy your hair is you are just as worthy & deserving of love and acceptance as the next person. the first step towards change is acceptance. accept and embrace yourself for all that you have to offer. become comfortable enough that no matter what society deems as acceptable, that holds no precedence in how you see yourself.
