For instance, one of the pressing issues for children of IVF will be how their manner of conception impacts their psychological state. For another, they might wonder what happened to the other embryos which were discarded and worry about their place in their family or even with their parents.

 

This conversation explores the psychological and societal implications of IVF and cloning, emphasizing the potential moral catastrophes that may arise from these practices. Dr. Colosi is an associate professor of philosophy at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. Before that he was assistant/associate professor of moral theology at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA from 2009-2015. He previously taught at Franciscan University of Steubenville. While their campus is in Ohio, he taught at their program in Gaming, Austria from 1999 – 2007. He received his doctorate in philosophy from the International Academy of Philosophy in the Principality of Liechtenstein in 2002, received an MA in Franciscan Studies from St. Bonaventure University in 1995 and received his BS in Mathematics from Franciscan University in 1987.
