One of the biggest mistakes I see new investors make is that they don't maximize investment account types. 

One sign I look for is that they have a lot of money in their taxable brokerage accounts (or worse, crypto), but they aren't maxing out their IRAs or their 401(k)s. 

They think they're doing enough by investing it somewhere, but in reality, they're delaying their retirement date by YEARS by not prioritizing retirement accounts that can save hundreds of thousands in the long term in taxes. 

They also aren't maximizing the triple tax savings of their Health Savings Accounts, and they don't know how to save tens of thousands in taxes in their Brokerage Account stock sales in the long term. Shifting your understanding in how these accounts work IS how you retire early. This is why I'm teaching an investing class on how prioritizing these account types can help you accelerate your retirement. It's on 8/19.
