  • Episode #15 - 8 Common Reasons why people fail on their goals

The 8 Common reasons why people fail on their goals.

    1. They wait to get started until they’re “Ready”

    - I don’t have enough XYZ,

Ill start when I develop more energy, money, time, experience

    2. “I’ll start on Monday” (or the most common “new years”)

    - Waiting till Monday or new years because they want to enjoy the weekend or the rest of the week of not having to be disciplined.

THIS is already failing at your goal because you’re seeing at a just a “thought”

To many tasks in the schedule? Start small then, but don’t wait until Monday

    3. They tell everyone about their goal and then get shut down.

We often get excited about a goal and tell our families and friends. Worse part is, the people who are not happy with themselves will turn down your idea and will make you think twice on taking action.

Using it as an excuse for “accountability” may make you more disappointed on yourself and not take further action because of a “bump” in life.

    4. The thought gets them motivated, the action makes them discouraged

Everyone wants to live the dream life, Everyone wants to feel healthier and happy with themselves but no ones is ready to make the sacrifices necessary

You will either build discipline or break yourself with more excuses.

    5. Procrastinate with doing everyday simple tasks before getting started

    Cleaning, Washing, Cooking,

How often do you find yourself studying, training, working (self improvement) but pause or completely stop to do something else and then get distracted?

Procrastination with your phone or social media, as if something will pop up to give you the golden ticket better health or wealthier life. The addiction to your feeding your dopamine is why you haven’t finished or progress to improvement

    6. Trying to take too many tasks at once (Bite more than you can chew)

You’re motivated to do everything but then get discouraged when you see slow to no results. Trying to start multiple GOALS at the SAME time will dim your light to what you’re really passionate about and can even lose yourself affecting your mental health.

    7. The opinion of others

Social media became something powerful as to why people succeed and why some people don’t even get started. Your fear of rejection or being the spot light of thoughts that don’t even exist yet is why you haven’t done what you want.

Caring to much about what others think shows the lack of self love you have. In order to become the best version of your self, you must love yourself and your dream first before anything else.

What will my friend, mom, spouse, hater, boss, or whom ever think or say?

If they’re not supporting you in getting to the destination to your goal, then their thought really don’t matter.

    8. FEAR

The fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of succeeding and feeling you cant handle with what comes with it.

The fear of pain, the fear of being judge. All these fears are a figure of your imagination. Its not easy to ignore them but stepping forward out of your comfort zone makes it easier to over come them and move on to bigger and greater things.

  • Episode #12 Metabolic Stress vs Mechanical Tension

Three Major factors that induce muscle hypertrophy

    - Mechanical Muscle Tension

    - Muscle Damage

    - Metabolic Stress

Muscle Tension is caused by lifting or moving heavy weight with a full range of motion. It wont cause maximal growth but it will improve your strength over time. Perform heavy weight training in a controlled manner, through a full range of motion to promote muscle growth

Overload from heavy weight training causes trauma to the muscle, leading to muscle damage.

Muscle damage is caused by resistance creating microscopic tears in the muscle fibers. The damaged muscle is repaired by satellite cells fusing together and to the muscle fibers.

Body builders often do moderate repetition in their workouts achieving a greater muscle hypertrophy.

The high repetition above 15 reps, lifting a general range 65%-85% 1RM aka One Repetition Max causes Metabolic Stress

This activates a greater amount of muscle fibers.

Moderate reps cause a complete muscle hypertrophy to slow and fast twitch fibers, maxing your growth.

Mechanical Tension plays a big role in a body builder’s workout. The must include metabolic stress to maximize their growth. A body builder must rest between 45 seconds – 90 seconds in between sets causing more metabolic stress.

When working on strength, the may rest 2-3 minutes in between to maximize their recovery and continue lifting heavier.

  • Episode #10 - Small Bad habits that affect your progress

Here are 7 Bad habits that most people do and are the reasons why they're not leveling up to the full potential.

#1. If youre someone who wakes up early for work or your business and you happen to workout at night, drinking pre-workout or an energy drink is probably whats slowing you down because this tends to cause insomnia.

#2 Eating to many bad meals. Bad Meal = Bad Carbs

#3 A negative mindset that causes stress and cortisol. Put social media down before your workout. If you get lost through tiktok, facebook, instagram or any other plat forms, you will find yourself less motivated to train. Its like trying to have sex immediately after climax....if that makes any sense. (Dopamine)

#4 Only Doing 10 reps.... Just stop...and listen why

#5 Dehydration, friendly reminder....DRINK MORE WATER!!!

    #6 Smoking/ Alcohol - Duh

#7 Not following a specific workout routine for a specific goal!

5 Reasons why you’re stuck in a plateau

    2. You’re slipping in your nutrition intake

    3. Not enough sleep

    3. Adjust your diet to something to where you can manage better. Cravings tend to happen more often when youre on a strict diet and you most probably may have a slippery slope, slipping back to bad habits leading to bad nutrition and bad workouts.

    4. REST. SLEEP. RECOVER

    5. Create a Time management that will allow you to finish every task of the day one by one, instead of stressing yourself trying to remember what you have to finish
