  • Slaying the Dragon of Complacency: Success Lessons from the Eighth Seed Miami Heat

    👉🏽Side Business Master Class👈🏽

    👉🏽Grow Your Side Business Hub

    👉🏽Join The Side Business Builders Facebook Group

    Summary;

    This episode is both informative and motivational since it draws parallels between the struggles many people endure when starting a side company and the unexpected rise to prominence of the eighth-seeded Miami Heat basketball team. The Miami Heat's journey serves as an example of how one may achieve success despite being an outsider pick or an underdog.

    The episode uses the success stories of the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets to highlight the value of determination and confidence in the face of adversity. We go into the premise that many great firms were founded by people who initially pursued their idea in secret as a side project, despite the fact that many people thought they would never succeed.

    We discuss the concept of "successfully discontent individuals," people who have reached a high level of professional and financial success but still feel that something is lacking in their life. We highlight the value of perseverance and tenacity, even in the face of losses or setbacks, by citing the stories of stalwarts like Warren Buffett and successful businesses like the Denver Nuggets.

    We also analyze why people may have a poor impression of side enterprises and why it's important to not allow that impression shape your path or outcome. We use the story of the Miami Heat to illustrate that one's background need not dictate one's future success. Listeners are reminded that their choice to pursue a side hustle is a reflection of who they are as an individual and that they should prioritize achieving their own objectives above seeking validation from others.

    Like the Miami Heat, small company owners everywhere may take heart from this incident and remember that they, too, can vanquish the demons of inertia, doubt, fear, and negativity. At the end of the episode, we recommend that listeners enroll in the Side Business Masterclass Program, which is aimed at assisting people in turning their side companies into sustainable, financially rewarding enterprises.

    Follow us as we draw inspiration from sports to learn about grit, determination, and achievement, and keep in mind that your goal is within reach.

  • 🚫5 Reasons NOT To Start a Side Business🚫

    Let’s discuss this in today’s Massive Action Monday.

    👉🏽Side Business Master Class👈🏽

    👉🏽Grow Your Side Business Hub

    👉🏽Join The Side Business Builders Facebook Group

    Summary;

    In this eye-opening video, we delve into some thought-provoking reasons why starting a side business might not be the right move for everyone.

    1️⃣ Are you hesitant to learn new skills or step outside your comfort zone? As Brian Herbert said, "The willingness to learn is a choice." A side business often requires learning new things, which can be overwhelming if you're not open to it.

    2️⃣ Feel safe in your job and believe it will remain stable for the foreseeable future? "Stability is when passion and profession are the same," according to Amit Kalantri. In this case, the effort and potential risk of a side business might seem unnecessary.

    3️⃣ Don't want the full responsibility for your financial life? Dave Ramsey warns, "You must gain control over your money or the lack of it will forever control you." Running a side business means taking complete financial ownership, a responsibility not everyone is ready for.

    4️⃣ Prefer having someone else to blame for your financial instability? Remember Dr. Robert Anthony's words: "When you blame others, you give up your power to change." With a side business, the financial outcomes rest entirely on your shoulders.

    5️⃣ See a side business as risky behavior? Mark Zuckerberg stated, "The biggest risk is not taking any risk... the only strategy guaranteed to fail is not taking risks." Indeed, starting a side business comes with risks, but they are part and parcel of any entrepreneurial endeavor.

    Does any of this resonate with you? 🤔 If so, you're not alone. But if you're ready to challenge these ideas and explore the potential benefits of a side business, we invite you to join us at our upcoming Side Business Masterclass.

  • BONUS: The Power of Imagination

    Let’s discuss this in today’s Massive Action Monday.

    👉🏽Side Business Master Class👈🏽

    👉🏽Grow Your Side Business Hub

    Summary;

    In this inspiring and thought-provoking podcast episode, the host discusses the immense power of imagination and how it influences our lives and decisions. Drawing from ancient wisdom from Greek philosopher Seneca, Chris explores the concept that most fears are constructed within our imagination.

    Chris asserts the power of imagination is not just for creativity in arts or entertainment,but it's instrumental in shaping reality. This is evident in everything we see around us, from the creation of roads, bridges, cars, to the clothes we wear, all of which were initially born in someone's imagination.

    Discussing the influence of fear on imagination, Chris illustrates how news and media can exploit this to shape public perceptions and reactions. Chris underscores that our imagination can often be more powerful than the truth, as it can create fear and anxiety about events that haven't yet occurred.

    The host stresses the importance of controlling our imagination and not allowing fear to dictate its direction. Chris suggests several ways to control our imagination, such as being mindful of what we read and listen to, as they shape our thoughts and, consequently, our imagination.

    Chris invites listeners to share their own strategies for preventing their imagination from being dominated by fear. Chris shares his personal routine of starting each day with gratitude and a mindset of control, as

    Chris believes this shaped his imagination positively. Further, the host points out the pitfalls of allowing external influences to shape our imagination negatively, using his personal experience of growing up with negative perceptions about wealthy people as an example. Chris advocates for questioning and understanding our beliefs and reframing them if they're holding us back.

    In conclusion, Chris host empowers listeners to take control of their imagination, emphasizing its power to either hold us back or propel us forward in life. Chris urges everyone to harness this power positively to create a better reality for themselves and not miss out on life's opportunities due to fear-induced imaginations.

  • 19 Things I've Realized In Building A Business

    Let’s discuss this in today’s Massive Action Monday.

    👉🏽Side Business Master Class👈🏽

    👉🏽Grow Your Side Business Hub

    👉🏽Join The Side Business Builders Facebook Group

    Summary;

    Here’s a few things I’m learning as I build a business. In no particular order;

    - Those who “want” to buy will waste your time and energy

    - Those who need what you have are struggling to let go of what they have to let someone else make their life better

    - You cannot get tired of saying the same thing, over and over, with a million examples, with social proof and in many ways. It’s a necessary part of the business

    - It will take a long time before profits become consistent, thats normal. But you cannot lower your effort or energy or input

    - You are 100% responsible for every thing regarding that business. Nothing will ever or be anyone’s responsibility. EVEN IF YOU PAID THEM. That’s a lot to unpack but its the gist

    - Most of the people around you not building a business you have to talk less to about what you are doing. It will feel like isolation but if you find communities of others building a business it will get better

    - You need to make networking part of your weekly activities per the last point above

    - Don’t be fancy with your business. Be creative. Big difference.

    - Resourcefullness will become your make or break.

    - If you are not willing to think, you will not have a business long term

    - This is HARD. Toughen up.

    - Your real customer may be so far away. Location and in habits and behaviors. It’s your job to make you and your business findable to them.

    - Don’t get stuck celebrating wins. It will keep you from moving forward.

    - Don’t get stuck upset about loses. The same will happen from above

    - Be patient with your goals but aggressive with your daily activity

    - Get away from your regular place you work. Go to another place, an air BNB, a library, a hall, etc. Switching environments is mentally healthy

    - Your “I quit” level will be tested and should move back over time

    - It’s not that people dont want you to succeed, they only can see your success through their perception of it. It will vary wildly depending on who you talk to

    - People with money love seeing you grow and win. People without a lot of money will question your moves and investment. Be mindful of this
