This week on Unpacked Evan and Tara chat about why you need to know your enneagram stance and how to discover it. We chat through how the stances refer to the basic posture of each enneagram type and how they move in the world. The three main stances are aggressive (at energy), dependent (toward energy) and withdrawn. The stances influence how you interact with others and often we are prone to one. Evan and Tara share each stance the gifts and the tension they bring and the growth path towards healing. We share how you can use each energy in your relationships and workplaces to uncover greater depth and health.

This week on Unpacked we wanted to share and highlight a poem by one of our favourite people, Erika Jane Dewald. She is bravely sharing her story and experience of being a pan-sexual teenager through her poetry. Erika Jane's poem was featured on The Indie YYC's Facebook page as a video too! She shares this challenging poem to remind us to accept and love kids and people for who they are - they do better. In honour of pride month we wanted to share a couple stories like Erika's because hearing stories from people of their hurt and their joy in all walks of life remind us it's impossible to love someone at arm's length. Whether it's LGBTQ+ community, Black Lives Matter, Indigenous communities or any marginalized group hearing the stories of kids and adults up close in our communities gives us more compassion to others and ourselves. Because we love stories - we believe that stories clarify and help to reflect on your story so you can write the one you desire for the future. Truth isn't always good or comfortable, but it is the starting point to growth.

Because we love stories - we share the importance of clarifying and reflecting on your story so you can write the one you desire for the future. Truth isn't always good or comfortable, but it is the starting point to growth.

This week on Unpacked Evan and Tara chat about transitions and the process to making a transition . A life transition is any change or adjustment that impacts your life and we all experience them. Using the lens of the enneagram triads (head, heart and body) we chat about the process of discernment (to separate - and the faith way of going about making important decisions). Transitions can be messy and we all take it at different speeds depending on our personal capacities. Tara and Evan explain the three triads (head, heart and body) and how one is often the place you start but we have all three in us and need to access all to make healthy, and whole hearted, logical decisions. We share some practices to use in making decisions and give real life examples of the places where transitions happen and how we can navigate them.
