Have you ever had a dream that later came true? Experienced, “mother’s intuition?” Sensed the presence of a loved one after they passed away? Or had a gut feeling that proved to be right? If you’re like 67% of people according to a recent survey, you’ve probably had at least one experience that falls under the broad umbrella of the “paranormal.”
In this episode, Traci Stein welcomes back her good friend, Kathy Kelly, a historian, owner of the Paranormal Museum, and co-host of their podcast, “Curious Explorers.” They dive deep into how we experience the paranormal, from energy healing and intuition to ghosts, hauntings, and much more. Chances are, you’ve seen Lana Young on stage in “Pride and Prejudice” or “The Graduate,” or on TV shows like "Law & Order," and “NCIS.” Or perhaps you’ve seen Lana in films such as “Southpaw,” “The Girl on the Train,” or Tyler Perry's "A Jazzman's Blues," to name just a few.
Lana has also written, directed, and produced a range of compelling works, including her award-winning documentary, “From Pink Sand to Red Carpet – Following Bliss.” But in this encore episode, you’ll learn more about how the little girl from Bermuda made her dreams come true, journeying from the pink sands of her childhood to stages in London, New York, Los Angeles and more.
Lana was kind enough to take time out of her busy schedule to become the first-ever guest on “Unpacking Possibility,” and 89 episodes later, her formula for trusting in herself and the Universe is as powerful as ever. Lana is a true master at manifesting, and what she shares can inspire us to feel better, do better, and live better overall.

In this episode, psychologist Traci Stein speaks with author Julie Potiker about her new book, “SNAP! From Chaos to Calm.” Julie, a self-described “recovering attorney,” is a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher at the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program at the University of California, San Diego. Julie created “SNAP” as a way to help people rapidly and easily implement tools to decrease distress and reconnect to feelings of calm and centeredness. Julie shares the “what” and “how” of SNAP -- Soothing Touch; Name it to Tame it; ACT - What do I need right now? And Praise -- so you can start feeling calmer right away.

In this episode, (the 89th!) I share some great news and also invite you to get to know artist, rapper, DJ and expert manifestor, Prince Hakim. It’s an encore presentation of my interview with Hakim, who is an internationally known performer and whose family is no stranger to musical success (he’s the son of Robert “Kool” Bell of Kool & The Gang).
Hakim and I chatted about just about everything during this episode - from his friendship with music mogul Jermaine Dupri, to touring with the legendary Kool & The Gang, and opening for Van Halen and other music greats. And of course, we dove deeper into Hakim’s thoughts on spirituality, meditation, and the power of manifesting with regard to his life and career. Hakim also spoke about the “Kool Kids Foundation,” which was founded by his father, Robert “Kool” Bell and his late mother, Sakinah Bell. The Foundation supports arts and music programs in schools.
Since this episode originally aired, Hakim’s career has only continued to skyrocket, and Kool & the Gang have gone on be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - an honor that is both well-deserved and long overdue.
As a bonus, at the end of the interview, you can listen to Hakim’s song, “So Impressive,” featuring Walt Anderson. (You’ll be walking around singing for the rest of the day!)

What if you could easily foster greater feelings of peace, love and connection to others and the Divine? And what if the key to doing so was a simple, drug-free, mind-body technique that you’re already wired to use? In this episode, psychologist Traci Stein talks with Dr. Cameron Alldredge and Chris Corlett of Baylor University about their research (with Dr. Gary Elkins) using hypnosis to tap into mystical experiences. They also discuss other situations that can similarly prompt a reduction anxiety and generate feelings of transcendence.
