Welcome to Unpolished.
This isn’t Episode 1—it’s the beginning of something new.
In this special pre-episode, we’re introducing the rebrand, sharing the vision behind Unpolished, and giving you a glimpse into what’s ahead. What started as an idea has evolved into a space for real conversations, real people, and real life.
At Unpolished, we believe the most meaningful conversations happen when we stop trying to appear perfect and start showing up authentically. This podcast will cover current events, entrepreneurship, relationships, personal growth, pop culture, social media, community issues, and everything in between.
You’ll hear honest discussions, audience call-ins, guest interviews, and stories from people who aren’t afraid to tell the truth about their experiences.
This episode is our test run, our introduction, and our invitation for you to join us from the very beginning.
We’re building a community where people can laugh, learn, disagree, grow, and have conversations that matter.
Welcome to Unpolished.
We’re glad you’re here.
Just a real, unfiltered moment with me and Lyd grabbing Subway and talking life. What started as a simple lunch turned into one of those conversations you wish you could bottle up forever.
We talk about spring break, growing up, emotions, and just navigating life in this in-between season. It’s honest, a little funny, a little deep — and completely us.
Y’all saw it on YouTube, but so many of you asked for it here too… so here it is 🤍
Sometimes the best conversations don’t happen in perfect settings — just across the table, with a sandwich in hand.
Confessions from the Dating Pool (There’s Pee in It)
In this episode of Unpolished with Crystal, my friend Bren and I sit down and talk about something most of us have experienced at some point — dating.
And let’s just say… the dating pool isn’t always as clean as people pretend it is.
We share funny dating stories, awkward moments, and the kind of situations that make you question everything in the moment but turn into hilarious stories later.
Also full transparency — this was our first time using our real microphones, and we’re not even completely sure they were turned on at the beginning. So if the audio sounds a little rough at first, we promise it will get better.
But honestly… that’s kind of the point.
Because life isn’t polished… and neither are we.
In this episode, I sit down with Cason and we get real about toxic relationships — the kind that make you do things you can’t believe you once tolerated (or survived). We share the craziest things we’ve ever done while stuck in toxic situations, but with enough distance now to laugh, reflect, and actually learn from it.
It doesn’t stop there — viewers wrote in with their own wild, honest story times, and we read them out loud and react together. Some are funny, some are heartbreaking, and all of them remind us just how messy love can get when boundaries disappear.
If you’ve ever stayed too long, ignored red flags, or look back and think “what was I thinking?” — this one’s for you.
Grief shows up quietly after divorce—in memories, in silence, in the life you imagined but didn’t get to live. This is me unpacking those emotions instead of hiding from them.
Bonus Episode: Unfiltered New Year Conversations
This bonus episode of Unpolished is exactly what it sounds like—raw, unplanned, unedited, and completely off the cuff.
We sat down and just talked. About the New Year. About expectations, goals, and the things we’re ready to leave behind. We laughed (a lot), shared stories from our day, touched on New Year’s Eve traditions, and had some unexpectedly serious moments too. We even talked about fasting in the New Year and what it looks like to reset with intention.
No outline. No edits. Just a lighthearted, honest conversation with friends—real life, real laughs, real reflections.
If you’re easing into the New Year and want something that feels more like hanging out than being lectured, this one’s for you.
