Like, it would be great if you had a smaller nose or a smaller butt, but you're also OK with things the way they are? And really - that means that you're OK with the way YOU are?

If that's the case (which I hope it is), have you ever had people still plant weird seeds of doubt in your mind - kind of like they're subtly telling you that you SHOULDN'T be OK with yourself and your "perfect imperfections?"

If you've worked to get to a place of acceptance...if you're OK being you...don't let anyone project THEIR hang-ups onto YOU!

When you have a question about something, when you're simply curious about something because you want to know, and don't, do you ask your question?

Why, or why not?

I saw something on Instagram that made zero sense to me, so I left a comment asking "why?" And as I thought more about this, I realized there's probably more to being curious, and having the courage to speak up, than I initially thought.

I feel like our ability to be curious changes as we get older because it becomes less acceptable in society. We can’t just be curious - there’s likely some ulterior motive at play.

And I call BS on that. Big time. How can we learn if we’re not curious - especially if we don’t give ourselves, and others, the space and freedom to be?

How much of what you do, or don't do, is impacted by what others may think of you?

It's easy to let what others may think or say about us sway our decisions - especially when we're wrestling with our own insecurities and not feeling "good enough."

But here's the thing: when we allow what others might think or say to keep us from doing something that we want to do, we're kind of handing our power over to them, all gift-wrapped with a cute little bow, and I don't know about you, but I'm not OK with that!

When you feel like crap, do you take a sick day?

When you're struggling emotionally/mentally, do you take a sick day?

I feel like most people DON'T take sicks days - even when they're available to them through their employer (aka "paid sick time").

Why is that?

When we put ourselves and our health on the "back burner," what message are we sending ourselves. And again...why?

It's time we made our health - physical AND emotional/mental - a priority. And taking time off when we don't feel well? That's one way to do it!

So take the sick day, OK? I mean, you're not going to get paid out for those days if you leave (unless it's a PTO policy), so you may as well use the time if you need it and it's available.

And if you need some inspiration? Just watch "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Sure - he was playing hooky...but maybe it really WAS a mental health day. ;)

You know what's hard? Being a mom to 5 kids.

You know who seems to do it with grace and ease AND "keep it real" at the same time? Chelsea Kasper.

Chelsea is a beautiful soul who continues to show up for herself in a number of ways - big, small, and everything in between. And when you listen to Chelsea's story, you learn that she showed up for herself in a very big way at a pretty young age...and it's continued ever since.

Not to say there haven't been obstacles along the way. Because it's life, so of course obstacles have been there like "Hey - Hello - Allow us to introduce ourselves."

But those obstacles? Chelsea used those suckers to help her really find her passion - supporting, encouraging and uplifting other moms.

If you know anything about mamahood, it can be pretty overwhelming and at times, lonely. So Chelsea has made it her mission to have that NOT be the case. And have fun doing it!

And the cool thing about this? She's showing her kids what's possible when you choose to believe in the power of YOU.

This is a heavy subject, right?

The fact that it's not frequently and openly discussed.

Why is that?

I know a few people who have experienced challenges with fertility, and you know what they've told me? The fact that this topic is NOT frequently talked about is a part of what made their experience even MORE difficult.

The more we talk about things, the more "normal" it becomes. And the less alone people feel.

In this episode, my friend Tina openly discusses her experience (and her husband's experience) with infertility. And I think it's a conversation that you need to hear. Because even if you haven't experienced this yourself, chances are you know someone who has.

And when we become informed about a situation or experience we ourselves have no knowledge of, or experience with, it allows us the opportunity to have even more compassion and empathy for those who are different from us.

And that is what I believe the world is desperately in need of.
